I'd seen the movie, and when I started the book I thought that they must have made things more ridiculous to make the movie entertaining. No. Jordan Belfort describes his life as a drug-addicted stock broker in the same way! This was an entertaining easy read.

I made it to the 6th chapter before I had to put down this frat boy confessional. Credit due to the author in that he said he was an ass from the get-go but good god there's only so much asshat-ery one can take. The writing was also...not good (loamy loins? wha?).

I do not recommend reading this book, particularly because research says that he's not paying proper restitution for his crimes from the royalties he's making from the book and movie.

I have no idea why I bothered to read this book. He's a class A jerk and spent entirely too many pages talking about himself as if he was some great victim. *gag*
