Such an enjoyable read (which, for someone who is a big fan of Parvati and Survivor is no surprise haha 🥰). I can’t imagine writing a memoir is easy, especially for someone who doesn’t typically write books (which is why I feel weird giving it a rating so I just decided not to), but Parvati did a good job painting an overview picture of her life and adding moments of reflection. There were some moments where I wanted it to go a little deeper, and others where I felt there may be more to the story, but I know writing and sharing something like this is so hard and vulnerable and I’m grateful for what Parvati did share. It was lovely to see her reclaim her power and her sense of self, and reflect on the inner work she was and is doing while in the public eye. Also, the way she wrote about Mae made my heart melt a little bit and it was really nice to hear about the start and development of their relationship ahhhh. If you’re a Survivor fan, a Parvati fan, or a reality competition show fan, I would definitely recommend!! ❤️

I loved Parvati on Survivor (and Traitors and DONDI!) It was really interesting learning about her upbringing and I think she does a really good job narrating in the audiobook as well!

I’m really surprised by how intriguing this memoir was. From discussing her upbringing in an Ashram cult, life in the public eye, dealing with shame from being viewed as a one dimensional reality star, loss in her family, a turbulent divorce, and embracing her sexuality, it was a rollercoaster to digest and was enjoyable to listen to. I think the ending felt a bit rushed and I  wanted more closure, but I still think was a great insight into Parvati’s life and overcoming such monumental obstacles.

An interesting memoir for any long time survivor fan

Parv I love you but whyyyy do you talk about the media slut shaming you in your first 3 seasons of survivor (which is valid!) but then turn around and objectify your female friends?!?! Whyyyy is your only description of Danielle DiLorenzo “a busty brunette” when “another young, attractive, badass woman” was right there?!?! It’s hard to sympathize when you’re being weird!
