The characters, the story, the mystery โ€” loving it. Without giving away things โ€” I suggest going in blind to this one.

It took me a few tries to get all the way through because I kept putting it down, but once I got through it to the second half, I really enjoyed it and the following sequels. Although I have some grievances with some tropes, I enjoyed reading Throne of Glass. It was the fantasy escape I needed.

I found the first book to be interesting, and absolutely love Celaena Sardothien (FMC).
I however struggled to understand the significance of Kaltain. Yes, she did drug the wine, and was one of the first "experiments" of the king and duke, but I struggled still to understand her significance and purpose in the story compared to other strong characters such as Nehemiah.  However, I've only read the first book, so we will see!
Overall much of these characters are lovable such as Nehemiah, Dorian, Nox and also Chaol, but I feel like his character is very mysterious and I know thier is more about him in COM. Overall, really enjoyed reading this book, and excited for the next!

Wasn't the most captivating story, but the characters weren't annoying like some others in the genre.
Will continue series, mostly because of the promise in having 7 more books.
