I didn't finish this e-book before it was due, but there are several stories that are included in other Gaiman collections so I feel as though I've already read most of it.
no spoilers.
blurb: an audiobook of Neil Gaiman reading his short stories is some of the best company you can have.
Longer version: A lovely, quirky collection of short stories. Some are odd, some are sweet, at least one was just plain puzzling to me. I strongly recommend the audio version, as you can hear Gaiman smiling and being wistful and being charming all the way through. The art of storytelling is alive and well in Neil's hands.
Gaiman tries out some different styles, from a gumshoe mystery to a teenager attempting to talk to girls, to a mythic/magic tale of the months telling stories around a fire. A wonderful little collection of stories to make you laugh, or smile wistfully. I'd listen to this again and again.

These short stories are all fantastic. HOWEVER, this is not a children’s literature book. The content is far too mature with descriptions of things that are not child appropriate. It would be just fine for YA (7th grade and above), but even then I’d err more towards high school.
With that said, it is totally worth reading.

I think I just have to come to terms with the fact that Neil Gaiman isn’t for me.

It's a short story collection. There didnt seem to be a common theme that i noticed? Other than they all had some kind of magic involved in the plot. I wish they were all hits, and that's hardly ever true. But even several years later, I remember a few of the stories. The ones that were really good.
Sun Bird, October in the Chair, and Instructions are some of my favorite short stories.
