I liked this book!! It would be a 3.5 stars
This is about an ex cop called Parker and her trying to make it as a pi. I love her she’s a badass and a strong female lead.
Paz is a lumberjack but also a corporate business man. He is so sweet.

Thank you so much to the author for an arc in exchange for an honest review!
Wood You Rather is the 3rd book in the Lovewell Lumberjack series.
Pascal Gagnon wants to investigate his father’s death, so he asks a PI for help. Parker doesn’t want to be a PI, but she lost her job in the police force due to Pascal. She doesn’t want to help at first, but decides to go to Lovewell. The Gagnon’s decide that the best excuse for Parker coming to town is that she’s Paz’s girlfriend. This book was more heavy on the suspense and investigation than the one before. I wanted a little more focus on the love story. It took me a little while to get into the story.
The spice begins around the 50% mark and was really great. The story really picks up around the 70% mark. No third act break up, so that made me happy!
The Bonus epilogue was so perfect

I was kindly gifted this book by @daphneelliotauthor in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.
This book is the 3rd book in the Lovewell Lumberjack series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I think this one is my favourite out of the series, although I still have a soft spot for Remy.
Even though Parker and Pascal obviously hate each other to start with you can feel the sexual tension radiating off the pages. They are both carrying some baggage into the “fake relationship”, but somehow manage to find themselves / work through it during the month or so they spend together.
I love that Parker is a bad ass, strong, confident, intelligent woman who can take care of herself.
Clive has also made an appearance

This is the third book in the series, and I love it!
Pascal (Paz), a Gagnon brother and fin bro to lumberjack, asked Parker, an ex-cop turned PI to help solve his father's murder. But because he's in a super small town, his family suggests that Parker is undercover as his (fake) girl friend who is a writer, and she stays with him in his house. Paz is a consummate neat freak, and Parker can be walking chaos. Living together and solving this is definitely a combustible mix. This had the perfect mix of angst + tension, without being too much.
Also nice anxiety rep in this book - thought it was handled really well by the author.
Tropes: Forced proximity, fake-relationship, small town
