what a surprising ending to such an intriguing series. first in brutal birthright and then in kingmakers the stakes kept getting higher and higher and the books continued surpassing them. reading this last one was the culmination of a journey. the little hints that had been scattered throughout the stories all came down to his. every character and every plot was attentively wrapped up, while still leaving us wanting more.

I am almost speechless as I process this beautiful, intense journey. I want to scream at the top of my lungs about it all while not spoiling a single thing. So, this review will be pretty vague because this journey has been building up since book one and it blew my mind to pieces then had my heart in my throat the whole time. This book took me on a ride one second, I was shocked, the next falling in love, then back to having my heart in my throat and stomach dropping out. I was all over the place, but in the best way possible. The author has created this world that I want to be a part of, I want to be in thick of it with the characters, even if it could be dangerous, I am so down to have their backs. The characters are beyond amazing, strong, resilient, and just perfectly flawed. With so many twists, turns, ups, and downs I just was overwhelmed with amazement because how genius is this author to make this world so realistic, dangerous, yet lovable!!! I can’t get enough of these stories, couples, friends, just everything. I can’t even mention the main storyline or the main characters because that will give the readers way too much to go on and this is a read that everyone needs to go into blind to get the full effect of this world and the fierceness of love.

5 stars for how it wove together details from each book and characters from various series. Plus the most satisfying epilogue with so many HEAs.

O my gosh. This series gets better with every book, but what’s amazing is I can reread an earlier book and it will be my favorite until I read another in this series, in which that one takes its place. Every book is incredibly written, with stories and characters that pull you in and make you love them...even the assumed bad guys!

Holy cow, The Spy was everything it was leading up to be! All those Easter Eggs, all the hints, and the puzzle pieces finally come together to form this master piece!

The Spy, the hero of the story, I love him. We’ve seen him all throughout the series, and o my gosh, yes, I love it! It was definitely shocking to find out the Spy's identity, but in the end, it made sense, and I loved the tie in to another series.

Nix is amazing. She’s definitely someone I want to be when I grow up. She reminds me of other females characters from some of Sophie’s other books…Nix is just awesome all around.
And Nix and The Spy’s chemistry is off the charts, even in the beginning when he wants to hate her, he can’t fight what draws him to her.

This story is just fireworks, like bang, bam, something is always happening and whoa, the bomb drops throughout where the truth is revealed is just wow. I am impressed! It's a crazy complicated web, that interconnects all four books, plus another series, and that was amazing!

The best part, those epilogues!!! I’m a sucker for really good epilogues, and those were AMAZING!!! A good epilogue is the way to my heart, and this is one of the best series epilogues I have ever read!

I cannot wait to see what comes next from this author!!

I really liked the premise of this book. Overall, the buildup, the revenge arc, and how the author completed everyone’s stories was great. To be honest my only complaint was that the heroines character was too two dimensional for me. She wasn’t really fleshed out and developed, she was badass but completely blind to what kingmakers was and it just didn’t seem possible to me loll but I won’t complain too much. She had this brutal honesty that I LOVED. The MC was just as hot as usual but I even felt a little disconnected to him when I was sooo excited for his story. Besides Dean he was legit my favorite character. So overall this was still fire and a great end to the series I just needed more tension and attention to detail in regards to the characters to make it a five star read.

That book was the best one so far! I loved how the whole series was treating as standalones, following a different couple, but then still all pointed up to this book.

Even the book had some twists that I didn't saw coming... After the first few chapters I thought Rafe's dad was dead... Turns out he's just kidnapped? Genious.

And Nix and Rafe's story was my favorite one so far too. I love a good enemy's to lover story!!
