Reading this book felt freeing. I read it while moving and the part about it being ok to throw things away was a real comfort. Talking about cleaning not being a moral thing was also very comforting and helpful. This book was inclusive too and touched on subjects outside of cleaning towards the end. The chapters were really short, no fluff, just everything you needed to know. You could probably read this in one sitting. Highly recommend!!

This was such an easy read with SO MANY useful tips and perspectives to help those of us that struggle with the side effects of ADHD, Depression, and/or Anxiety. My favorite quote that I’m going to be saying to myself over and over is “I have a body, I am not a body.” Meaning that my body is meant to serve me, and that taking care of it the way I would take care of a friend might give me a better perspective and help me treat my body with more kindness and love. I also love how she reframed everyday chores to “care tasks”. The perspective she has surrounding that is really beautiful and inspiring. I loved this book and would recommend to anyone having a hard time right now.

Definitely some really helpful gems in here. Nice and short and to the point. I think it mostly focused on in you have kids, which I personally don't so a lot did not apply to me. That being said, good information to keep stored for when I have kids.

This book had a lot of practical tips for making care tasks approachable. I love that the audio is read by the author- it's kind of like hearing a loving pep talk from a friend.
Oh my gosh-where has this book been all my life?! It came in at the exact right time. Understanding the challenges that we all have in our life and how it relates to accomplishing tasks is refreshing. I needed this reminder that the laundry and dishes police weren’t coming and what works for us is good.
