It turns out that the 'tough guy falling for a single mom and her kid' is my unexpected trope. Who knew?

Catherine has done it again with another 5 stars HANDS DOWN so far this is my favourite!! This story was so moving and both characters on a journey what they accomplished together was everything it melted my heart they went through so much first I want to say Sutton is another best book mum she was the best with Luca and so was Cope spending time with Luca at hockey camp was like second nature for him I love how both these characters have deep backstories and we get to see both Sutton and Cope open up to each other it may have took Sutton a little longer but she got their in the end π₯° also I wish I could try one of Sutton cupcakes because everyone RAVES about them so I can only imagine how magnificent they taste! Cope what a man I love him so much another man to add to the book boyfriend list π€ heβs so protective and I love how he looks after Sutton & Luca when their both unwell but with Cope he stood out to me so much in this book and Iβm glad his heart is now healed β€οΈβπ©Ή Cope is the definition of βIf he wanted to he would.β And I love that I donβt want to say too much because you all need to start reading the series! But oh my the found family π₯Ή I love that they welcomed Luca and Sutton in with open arms and the way they was all their for each other was warming can I add the spice STOP Iβm obsessed I loved every part of it I wonβt say anymore apart from GO READ THIS BOOK it was everything π
Quotes I loved:
"I never once said I didn't want you. Fuck, Warrior. I think about you with every other breath. I dream about you. And when I wake up, I swear I can still taste you on my tongue."
βI've never seen anything more beautiful than this sight. Need to burn it into my memory."
"You gave us a safe place to land. A harbor in the storm."
Tropes:
π Single mum
π Hockey player x baker
π Found family
π Heroine on the run
π Small town romance
π All the banter

When I finished this book, there was only a word looping in my mind: Wow.
"Broken Harbor" was one of those books that you pick expecting one thing, and the author decides to deliver a whole different thing. Better. Addictive. Breathtaking.
Cope and Sutton are just an amazing couple, and I was mesmerized (all the time, I might add) by their chemistry. I could feel, while reading their story, they belong to each other - which just proves how amazing Catherine's writing skills are.
Sutton is a character I will cherish forever. The way she puts her son in her top priorities and how hard she fights for their happiness and peace is heartbreaking but amazing at the same time. She is strong and fearless and gave us everything we could ask a female main character to be.
But Cope? Oh, Cope is just AWESOME. His character development is insane and I was just trying to jump right into these pages and hug him. I love to know him deeply and to see other vision of this family. The hockey aspect was priceless, and I was waiting for Catherine to deliver us something like this for so long!
AND LUCA? I always love kids in the books, but this one felt special for many reasons. He's so loyal, strong, and so understanding - I was rooting for him the whole freaking time.
As always, this book was amazing: the written is phenomenal, the main characters are have a perfect character development and the found family is indescribable.
I can't wait to see all of you reading this one
