I read most of this but its honestly not helpful for me :") too generic and not well suited for a highly anxious autistic person like me 🫠😅 I appreciate the attempt at inclusivity and all that but it just. Isnt what I needed.

Jenn and Trin are as good in written form as they are on their excellent podcast!

This was on my library's featured list so I scooped it up. I made it about 1/3 of the way through before giving up. I've never listened to their podcast, so maybe you have to be a fan to appreciate it and find it entertaining. But I found the advice to be so basic that it felt like a waste of time.

This book was good. Some of the advice was common sense, but it's always good to see that validated. A good book especially for anyone who deals with social anxiety because it provides a lot of suggestions for what kinds of things to say in different (hard) situations.

I liked the information this book offered, but it felt like it was written mostly for single, young people. Much of the information is pertinent no matter what your age, but it sporadically touched on the added complexities that can happen when you are partnered and/or in the middle of raising small children. I do still recommend it, especially during this time as we emerge to some degree or another from our Covid-19 shells. A lot of us are out of practice in the care and feeding of friendships, and the reminders and information here can help.

Good book, but maybe it should've just stayed as a podcast.
I feel like once you've read the first chapter, you've really read 95% of the book. A lot of the rest of the book is just repeating the same things to hit a word count. Every once in a while it switches to a new topic it didn't touch on with a nice graphic like "what if I'm the toxic friend?" But beyond that not much to write home about....
