I just love Neil Gaiman's speeches about art and creativity. A very inspiring little book with cool illustrations to remind ourselves why being creative matters. I loved it to bits.

Great little book for artists (artists, writers, musicians, dancers, etc) to get inspired (or re-inspired) and motivated to create and share their art. Also a great reminder of the importance of art and keeping/making it accessible for everyone.
Gorgeous illustrations as always. I loved seeing the references to other works of Neil Gaiman. It's like a small reward for following his work for so long :)
There are lots of things to take away from this book but there was one scentence that really stuck with me. "What's the point in making something you know is going to work?" I struggle with accepting that making mistakes is okay. I tend to stay in my comfort zone because I feel like if I try something else it'll suck. But without sucking you won't ever not suck it's ironic haha.
The writing seems to be snippets of essays and other things Neil has written before. I recognized some of them from the 'view from cheap seats' book. That's not a point of criticism btw just an observation.
I think I'll revisit this book if I ever need some motivation because damn it's inspiring :)

What a quick delightful read! Neil Gaiman quotes on creativity and art with beautiful, fun illustrations by Chris Riddell.
I needed this book in my life right now. His bit on failure and mistakes in creating things is legit inspiring.
Super fast read with lasting impact.

I listen to this audio book read by Gaiman and felt remarkably glad to be a reader and lover of books. I could listen to him for hours. I wish to get the physical copy with Riddell's illustrations, but this experience of Gaiman speaking his own words is remarkable. Such a great and important message.
