I found this on tiktok and omg it was so good. I absolutely loved it and easily went through it in like an hour or two.
It 100% is that same human x fae stuff which I ATE UP but the twist with her being human and fae was something I didn’t expect to be honest. I figured she would be turned or something.
I loved the relationship building we get to see between the main character and I enjoy being able to see how their relationship switches to something more despite everything that is thrown their way.
Even if sometimes the book felt too smut focused.
Both of these characters are written in such a beautiful complex way that only makes the story more interesting and compelling, they are both traumatized kids who were brought up by people who wished they harm.
The MMC was never shown real true love but wants it desperately and desperately wants to be chosen by someone to be wanted in the way he wasn’t.
The FMC was locked away and used when it was convenient for others. She was never shown true freedom and just wants to be included and to simply have a choice.
I loved that we get to see hints of these traits and insecurities peek through, throughout the story and how they deal with them and overcome them together.
I enjoyed everything in this book but the fact that this book ends in a cliffhanger hanger as does the 2nd AND THE 3rd ISNT OUT YET OR EVEN TALKED ABOUT I absolutely hated that. To me it’s just super annoying because I never see the need to expend a story you can fit into one book into more. Idk cliffhangers are just a big to me because I hate them and I have absolutely no patience.

this wasn't bad! but it also wasn't great. it was an easy, quick read, but i wasn't all that invested in the couple or the plotline really. romance was iffy for me. could just be the mood i'm in though!
Overall, if a friend asked me if they should read it, I would say YES. I had such a fun time, and I think this is a fantastic debut novel.

I loved this book series! It’s fantasy, romance, action, and lots of magic! So so good! Ends on a cliffhanger but still fantastic! It has a great story with a complicated and blooming romance that stems into a adventure.
“Little storm” had me swooning! (You will understand when you read it!)
The 10 year war between Fae and the humans ravaged the lands and killed too many Fae. Fighting to survive and just trying get back their lands, the fae will do anything to forgo another war…. But things never go as planned.

Not sure where to even begin on this one...
This book lacked context, this book lacked character development, this book lacked tension.. and just as I'm repeating myself so did this book.
If I read he grabbed her chin with his forefinger and thumb one more time I was gonna scream
Everything that should have had build-up or foreshadowing just was a reveal.
A couple of times I just thought I was reading a rough draft.
This book needed more editing.

The characters were a bit one dimensional and not very likeable. A good editor would solve some continuity issues--things would happen and then not mentioned again or the characters would move rooms with no mention of that happening. But I just can't get over the spicy bits. Some of it was just gross and the pillow talk was so cringey!
