Fantastic book. Was engrossed in Janina and her quirky neighbours.  Thought provoking, funny and sad.  brought about a lot of discussion in the readalong, where I discovered there’s a film adaptation called “Spoor” and I will also be looking into ‘The criminal prosecution and capital punishment of animals’ by EP Evans, because when I read about rats being taken to court in the novel 🤯

Dark. Some say this book is about Animals, or Astrology, or maybe even under-appreciated women? But it is not really about anything other than the main character’s disturbed thoughts. The story is actually about mental illness. (and murder)

And I didn’t enjoy the extended tour of the inside of a psychotic person’s head.
