I REALLY loved this. I think I loved it so much because the past novels were so sad. This novel captured the happiness in James and Sophia's relationship. Who knew Caleb had such a sense of humour? I laughed SO MUCH, and this epilogue was beautiful. THANK YOU C.J. ROBERTS.

This was more of a love story and less of a traumatic rape so I enjoyed this book the most out of the series. Still not a book I would ever read again.

Epilogue is the third book in the Dark Duet series by author C.J. Roberts.

I was looking forward to reading Epilogue ever since the first book in the series. I was sucked into the dark tale of slavery in Captive in the Dark. Seduced in the Dark took you even further into the story giving us the aftermath and the fallout from Livvie’s captivity. With Epilogue, we get to read about Caleb’s POV, the reunion between the two, and the ‘epilogue’ of their future.

This story started out with Caleb speaking to the reader of the story. We get to learn what happened after he finally finds Livvie and they reunite after being separated for so long. We get to see them both have to deal with the past and the pressure it puts on in them now. While I enjoyed the reunion and the couple dealing with getting over their past issues, I did feel like the last half of the book was repetitive and a let down. It seemed like the sex of the relationship took over and we started going in circles again. I feel that the story could have ended 3/4 of the way into it and it would have been fine.

Even if the ending was a bit of a disappointment to me, I still feel like the author did a wonderful job in giving readers what was needed for the final book. We get to read from Caleb’s POV and we get to finally enjoy the closure that we needed after the long journey we were set on.

The story lacks tension and interesting events, but the title is fitting. I rocked a wiki and scraped the definition of Epilogue: a piece of writing at the end of a work of literature, usually used to bring closure to the work. It is presented from the perspective of within the story; when the author steps in and speaks indirectly to the reader.

That said, this epilogue is a garrulous telling of an ending already provided in book 2. What makes it enjoyable is Caleb's POV. His character--selfish, cruel bastard that he is--remains consistent with the first two books. For that, I give Ms. Roberts a standing ovation. Somehow she maintained his cantankerous personality, but managed to develop the POV in a manner worth reading.

I would've been content with the series completion at book 2, therefore, I'm indifferent about this supplemental conclusion. It's a quick read, rife with sexy scenes. I recommend it for the more obsessive Caleb fans.

I absolutely loved this book! It was a PERFECT ending to this amazing series! I read Captive in the Dark over a year ago but was to nervous to finish the series. But this weekend I finally decided it was time to visit Caleb and Livvie and I'm so glad I did. Cj Roberts is just f***ing amazing! Caleb & Livvie will always hold a special place in my heart.
