Loving this comic series so much!!!! It’s my first deep dive into Marvel comics (I’ve read around a bit, but haven’t focused in and read all of a particular character’s comics) and I’m really enjoying it!!

Kamala is such an enjoyable protagonist and the stories are all so good!! It also helps that I’m lovinggg the show in Disney plus so definitely recommend both the comics and the show!!

Can’t wait to read more!

The series really gets into the swing of things here, we finally get to see a full storyline with Kamala and the multiple relationships she has.
SpoilerThe Captain Marvel team up
is especially great and definitely worth the read.

This series continues to impress me. I'm not a big fan of superhero comic books, although I love screen adaptations of them, but I'm a big fan of Ms Marvel. I love the diversity that's presented here, and I particularly like how the stereotypes that bothered me at the beginning of the series continue to be chipped away at as background characters are more fully fleshed out.

While some of Marvel's stable of superheroes make appearances, you don't need to have read their stories to be able to follow their appearances here and enjoy how they are worked in. I'm looking forward to reading more of Ms Marvel's adventures.

Well, a lot happened in this one! So many things! Its interesting to see where this will go, but I feel that some parts could be more eloborate and take it a bit slower? Like too much action. I need som time to breathe and process! But Ms. Marvel is cool. Good role model.

Ms Marvel comics are one of my favorite Marvel comic series. G Willow Wilson is really good at writing the emotions and feelings of Kamala and there were so many touching moments and moving quotes.

ms. marvel is so good.
i have two complaints, though:
- there was some parts where i felt like too much time had skipped over without much of an explanation or a summary of what had happened
Spoiler- kamala fell "in-love" with psycho dude in less than 2 days. that was insane and it didn't make any sense how she was brooding over his being a piece of garbage for a long while afterwards. or i guess it wasn't a long while, it was just that it was constantly mentioned... like we get it, you feel disappointed, but you didn't know him for that long!

on to the great stuff; i love kamala and her dedication to her super-abilities + saving new jersey.
Spoiler i kind of feared she would feel flattered at bruno's confession and fall at his feet for some reason, and i'm glad she was all like "ok thanks ily2 but im kinda busy atm".
i love that her mom knew about her abilities! loved the loki cameo, and made me a little interested to see how they're writing him since i wasnt a fan of the thor movies (or his appearances in the mcu).

they're also still making her a normal teenager... which i think is great. i half-expected her to be like "i have responsibilities, i cannot have fun or break rules or make mistakes ever", so thanks @ wilson + marvel co.

random but, there was an art change, and it made everyone look a lot more polished, which was strange, but i didn't mind much. all art for this is pretty.
also i didn't care for the shield comic or the peter parker comic at the end...

This is probably 4.5 stars that I'm rounding down...

This series is great. Kamala is kind, thoughtful, resourceful, funny, and very human. The cast of characters around her feel increasingly like whole people (esp. Bruno and Aamir) and I really enjoy the time I spend in her world.

The weaknesses in this series, as my BF notes, is that it has to tie into the larger Marvel universe, and thus, simultaneous or tie-in storylines (i.e. the large threat in Manhattan) seem unresolved. Unlike the first hardcover volume, which contained a predominantly contained story, this volume feels a little empty for the smaller victories Kamala scores in the context of
Spoilerthe potential end of the world
. That being said,
SpoilerI've become an unabashed Kamala-Bruno shipper, and was thrilled at the reveal that Ammi knew and was proud of Kamala's accomplishments as Ms. Marvel
.

Looking forward to more :)
