A small town romance full of hearts and flowers. From the blurb I was salivating for drama and villains. But this was a rather tame good feel romance where even the villains seem to see the light and join the good guys. Even if I didn't get the scandal I wanted I still found this cute and will continue with the series.

From the first time they trip over each other, there's a connection between Kris and Charlie. It doesn't take too long for feelings to develop as they attempt to carry off a fake relationship in the lead up to and for Charlie's sister's wedding. Secrets always come out though and Kris is not just the rich visitor to town he says he is.....
Charlie is just too adorable and you can easily understand how Kris is attracted to him, even more once they get to know each other. From the start, I was shouting at Kris to be honest but where would the drama be if that happened! Even though you know something is coming between them, it is fairly low angst and easily enjoyable to read. There are some great additional characters. Both men have loving families that are really supportive, especially their sisters.
Chester Falls is beautifully described, definitely a place I'd love to visit and full of welcoming, friendly people that make up such wonderful fictional places. There are one or two people that you can easily see having their own book in the series so I'm looking forward to who and what is coming next in this series.
Ana has given her readers a super start to a new series in this small town and it's a heartwarming contemporary romance with great characters that's easy to fall into and love.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Do you know what kind of book is this? The kind which left you with a big smile on your face. Irredeemable romantic, feeling-good kind of book that we all need from time to time.

There is none who is inherently evil here, the level of angst is really low, and the characters are sweet and lovely. I wish it was winter here, and I could have listen to this curled under a blanket with a hot chocolate in hand. But, alas, it's summer so icecream was *laughs*

Seriously, this is a truly delicious and alluring story, very well narrated by Nick Hudson, so go ahead and read/listen to it. You know you want to :P

Poor Charlie, I hated seeing him suffer because his ex was a jerk but I loved seeing it bring him and Kris together. These two were just adorable together and I loved watching them fumble through their "fake" relationship that was really anything but. This was just an overall good story and I look forward to more stories by this author.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.

Feel good fake boyfriend

This is such an easy, sweet, light, feel good read. The book was interesting and flowed nicely so I didn’t feel the need to skim over any sections.
The two main characters, Kris and Charlie are really likeable and with almost instant chemistry just waiting to combust. When it did it certainly increased the heat level.
Although there was no angst, there were a couple of little speed bumps but that didn’t stop them from getting their HEA.
Some interesting side characters have me intrigued and I look forward to further instalments in the series.

I love the trope of hidden royalty that fall for someone they meet during hiding, so I was super excited to read this book! It's my second book from this author since i read the novella before this, and it was enjoyable and a fast-paced book!

I just found the writing to be a bit awkward? I don't know if that's because of the chatacters or what, but it didn't meld well together at certain parts and it seemed kind of forced too.

I will continue the series and see what happens since the next book is how I found this series to begin with!

Well, this book has been a pleasant surprise! Don't let yourself be fooled by the rather kitschy Cover and the well known tropes of instant love and the Fake boyfriends turning to real lovers angst. Even though they are undeniably there, it all goes down rather realistic when you read it. Take the instalove for example: Yes, during the meet cute both have an instinct gut reaction that draws them close and leads them to actually wanting to spend time together - so they get to know each other. Its only then that they act in a way to make each other comfortable by doing the "work" of talking to each other, listening and making the other feeling seen. And its only during this process that they rather organically fall in love with each other. The side characters were fun and I get the feeling that the love Story of each side character has the potential to be a good stand alone novel.

My only caveats are that the side plot seemed underdeveloped and some more details to flesh out the story would have gone a long way. In terms of worldbuilding, I feel there were lots of unused possibilities to rather organically work in the need to know information, rather then the information dumps that ended up in the book.

Nevertheless, I fully enjoyed my stay in Chester Falls and got some good belly laughes out of it. Oh, and it can be read as a stand alone, so there is no Cliffhanger at the end, charming you into buying the next part of the series.
