“I want to be happy too. Or at least not completely miserable.”

Since a heartbreak in college, Oliver promised to himself he would never mix his personal and professional life again. Gavin knows his career is soon to be over, his body aches in every possible way, and cannot imagine living with someone who still has to live what he would soon lose.
One’s boundaries begin when the other’s end. Yet, designed to lead their soccer team together, they will be forced to collaborate.

This was another great book in that series. It was probably my least favourite one, but only because it really focused on the sport, and consequently spoke to me a bit less (age difference isn’t my preferred trope either). It was a very nice trip anyway, where the concept of mourning beforehand was truly interesting. C.L. definitely knows very well how to picture human’s feelings, from their lowest to their highest. Even if Aiden’s anxiety looked more like what I personally experienced too much, the way Oliver’s panic attacks are detailed (and two specific scenes) were truly remarkable, as how Gavin deals with his bound to happen loss. How they gradually bound and learn to trust, then to love each other was a delightful journey once again.
The Bergman Brothers series has truly become the #1 contemporary romance in my heart!

THE GRUMPY SUNSHINE VIBES WERE IMMACULATE
- Ollie was such a sweetheart, I loved seeing how he matured but still kept in touch with his “wild child” self
- the Bergman siblings making appearances and giving Ollie advice was the cutest thing ever
- my baby Gavin deserved so much
- seeing Gavin love Ollie from afar was just *chefs kiss*
- the jealousy made me cackle LMFAOAOA
- Gavin being adorable with Ollie’s niece was the best thing I ever saw
- seeing how Gavin realized he was was in love with Ollie and vice versa had me tearing up
- Chloe Liese always knows how to play with my feelings, her writing is absolutely incredible!! I cannot wait for the last 2 books to come out!!

again this is like my favorite series ever. this family is so full of love and the author does such an AMAZING job of portraying all kinds of disabilities mental and physical throughout the series.

So freaking good! I just adore Chloe’s books. The Bergman family is just so fun and sweet and I love how each book gives us glances in at past couples too. I have to say I read Gavin as Roy Kent the entire time and was giddy to read the acknowledgments where Chloe confirms he was indeed based on Roy! She wrote him perfectly. And Ollie? He’s just the best! I adore his character so much. Only 2 more books left in this series.
