"From Hell" delivers a fascinating and deadly narrative that kept me enthralled from start to finish. Mallory Fox skillfully weaves a complex web of intrigue and confusion, as the identities of the characters slowly unravel. While it can be slightly confusing at times, this added an extra layer of suspense and mystery, compelling me to keep digging deeper into the story.
The tension and subtle banter between Jaxon and Laine are a highlight of the book. Their chemistry is electrifying, and the slow burn romance adds depth to the overall narrative. I appreciated the development of their relationship amidst the intense suspense and danger that surrounds them.
The mystery aspect of the story is another strong point. It keeps readers engaged and guessing, with unexpected twists and turns along the way. Mallory Fox's ability to create an engaging and suspenseful atmosphere is commendable, leaving readers on the edge of their seats, eager to uncover the truth.
As my first read from Mallory Fox, "From Hell" left a lasting impression. The writing style is captivating, the pacing is well-executed, and the story itself is unique. While the complexity of the plot may require some patience, the pay-off is rewarding.
In conclusion, "From Hell" is a riveting retelling that breathes new life into the Jack the Ripper tale. Mallory Fox's storytelling prowess, the intense suspense, and the intriguing characters make this book a worthwhile read. If you enjoy dark and mysterious narratives with a touch of romance, this book is definitely worth adding to your list.

This was dark twisted and amazing!
Laine is struggling to come to acceptance of her near killing 9 years earlier by killing those that have killed others vigilante style!
Jaxon has come back to town and has a warped fascination with Laine they have hairy and itās messy.
With getting Laineās closer to Jaxon we learn of his disorder and the story really gains traction from there.

What. A. Book!
Lanie Summers isnāt a victim, sheās a survivor. A survivor that was let down by the justice system, a survivor that has taken matters into her own hands and is now hellbent on destroying the men who took her friend all the way to the man that almost killed her and tortures her in her dreams years after the incident.
Iāve read some pretty dark books but this one right hereātakes the cake! At first I was like āyeah girl get your revengeā but then as I kept reading I was shooketh (a good kind of shooketh). Mallory Fox did not miss with this one and I canāt wait to read the rest of the series. Definitely recommend this read (if youāre into dark DARK romance)

This story is captivating! I never once found myself bored or distracted, and I finished the reading in less than one day! The plot is unique, and skillfully conveyed.
I occasionally found myself confused and had to reread a few pages to try and gain a better understanding. My only complaint is Iād appreciate more insight into the rituals/sacrifices and the society. I also pondered possession for a momentā¦ but other than that, this work is brilliant.
I appreciated the charactersā relationship, and the unique situations presented. I developed understanding of the characters and their circumstances as well as empathy that had me questioning my morals while rooting for the villain; the story is both perfectly hot and depraved!
āFrom Hellā tells of a young woman who is studying medicine until one day someone attempts to murder her and fails, but her friend wasnāt so fortunate.
It changed her. Allowing the darkness of her would-be murderer to seep into her and darken her soul. She finds herself intent on retaliation, wanting revenge for those who harmed her friend and herself. Will she succeed? Or willā¦ never-mindā¦ ;)
Find out at the bookās release on November 30th. Iām eager for the sequel as well!

Let's Talk about From Hell by Mallory Fox.
To me, this story is a mashup of Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde as well as the the nightmare that is Jack the Ripper.
Synopsis:
What would you do if you survive an attack from the Ripper. This is the conundrum that Laine has to face every day. One thing that she is sure of, she will never be a victim again. She will find the Ripper and end him before he comes back to finish the job. But when she runs into an old flame that left her wanting, Laine's life is turned upside down.
Jaxon knows that coming back home was a bad idea but there is no reason why she would come back home, so no harm no foul right? Wrong. When he finds her standing in his space, he knows that it is only a matter of time until his worst kept secret is brought to light. Yet, he can't seem to stay away and the need to protect her at all costs is driving him closer and closer to the edge.
Review:
I enjoyed the fuck out of this book. I prefer plot with my spice and this book did not disappoint! For me, the build up allowed the reader to feel that anxious energy that Laine felt throughout the story as she tried to navigate and understand what was going on around her. Both main characters were morally grey throughout the story but still loveable. I was invested in their future, both individually and together. The further along in the story that you got, the more that Fox developed each character. The spice level was on point and it was throughout the novel. Please check trigger warnings.

I don't know how to write this spoiler-free... Ok, so I had to give this 5 stars because The Ripper...what can I say? I'm a sick fuck. š Mallory Fox is a first time author for me and I have to say I love her writing style. I could not put From Hell down! It is, as you could likely guess, violent, chaotic, steamy and darker than an abyss. The MCs had such a magnetic pull and phenomenal chemistry, I drank that shit in!
You need to get and read this book! I demand it!
