This was pretty damn good. Bryan Lee O'Malley has written a greatly relatable story with the idea of "If you could go back and change things, what would happen?" If that premise doesn't make you ponder your own life then you, sir or madam, are too perfect for your own good. Take the chance on making a mistake by reading this book.

Me lo habían recomendado y no sé qué estaba esperando realmente pero no me gustó mucho.

While the story itself wasn‘t all that original and certain parts were predictable, the art style alone easily made up for all that. What a stunning graphic novel, so cool! Loved the characters as well. Such clever panel work too! I‘m still a bit in awe.
fast-paced

The volume itself is a lovely thing. The partial dust-jacket revealing a sliver of something more fantastic underneath is a clever visual summary of the story. The coloring is gorgeous. The drawings are expressive and funny. O’Malley has a gift for drawing emotion in a way that is equal parts relatable and hilarious.

The plot does take a swing into the fearsome, but the story remains largely convenient even into the climax. The characters are not much more than their colored pages. The book is labeled “adult” for some cussing and implied sex, but it feels very much like a YA story and I wonder if that is really more the targeted audience. SECONDS remains rather light despite it’s attempt to get heavy, but is enjoyable nonetheless.

I'm not sure which I loved the most, the story, the illustrations or the characters

Aix, recomendadisimo.

The moral of this story?

Don't be a dick.

That's what it all boils down to. Katie is a successful restaurant owner and a train wreck in her own personal life. Through circumstance, Katie discovers some magical mushrooms that let her time travel into the past and fix her mistakes.

Of course, time travel always has repercussions.

I particularly enjoyed how the narrator of the story and Katie interact with each other. It definitely added a certain charm to the story.

The art was wonderful, warm and cute - the colors and panel layouts pulled me in and really, the overall packaging and presentation of this story are most certainly on par with O'Malley's previous work, the [b:Scott Pilgrim Bundle|8697402|Scott Pilgrim Bundle (Scott Pilgrim, #1-6)|Bryan Lee O'Malley|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1370020121s/8697402.jpg|13570065].

Definitely a nice break from all the 'normal' comics that I regularly read. Whatever normal means. I am more than happy to have this on my shelf and available to me to browse through whenever the mood strikes me.

*would be three and a half stars if I could*

So, so, so good!!
