This book was a jigsaw puzzle. You knew the image right away and then got more pieces over time. Some areas were deliberately left blurry and others were completely shocking. I would have liked more of the blurry parts to have been filled in, but that would have also been hard for some people to read. This was such a good book even though it was very dark.

If you like character driven books, you might like this one. I know some people were expecting more of a thriller, however, it felt more like a character study. I will say I was the flashbacks and plot were a little more linear because there is quite a bit of jumping around. I did love Lex as a character and wanting to know more about her and her experiences kept the book interesting for me.

2⭐ - It was just ok.
Very boring and not alot was actually facts to the true crime case this is based on....
The past was much more interesting than the present.
Audiobook was nice way of spending time while doing other stuff, so not a horrible experience

Fascinating. Make sure to remember the limits of an affected narrator. A bit too non-linear for my taste but overall great.
