This was my first Katelyn Taylor book and babyyy it will NOT be my last! I signed up for some steamy step-sister FF drama… and got wrecked emotionally instead 🚨. Trauma? Check. Character growth that had me crying and cheering? Check. Spice so hot I needed a fan?? DOUBLE CHECK 🔥🔥. And don’t even get me started on the plot — it ate.

Bridgette had me ready to square up at first ✊ but by the end, she had my whole heart. If you haven’t read the Gallows Hill series yet, go do that first — unless you like spoilers (I don’t judge) 👀. Also, serious trigger warnings with this one. Katelyn did NOT come to play!

Oh my! I ate this book up! I was hoping to get Maggie and Bridgette’s story and she knocked it out of the park. The tension, angst, spice, drama, and twists were incredible. You never knew what was coming. It kept me on my toes the entire time! And I have to probably say they are my favorite couple! And I may have found new book girlfriends! Highly recommend!

Wow!!  Just when I think Katelyn Taylor cannot blow me away - I read one more of her books!!

This was amazing.  It’s heartbreaking and healing.  I love reading the perspectives of Maggie and Bridgette.

They both have survived their own versions of hell and made it to the other side together.  They are stronger and complete each other.

Time for Maggie and Bridgette’s Story! This series is a serious roller coaster of emotion, darkness, and secrets. I love gallows Hills Series and to finally get the side characters story is brilliant! I always wondered what happened and why things happened to Maggie and Bridgette.
I love this book!! A lot of answers given!!
10/10 recommended! Read Deceit first!!

Okay y’all THIS BOOK. THIS is the one. I was simply ✨obsessed✨
Let me preface this by saying, this is the first FF/sapphic romance I have ever read, and it definitely won’t be the last! I loved these characters so much. I fell in love with Maggie during the Gallows Hill series, and I was so excited to delve deeper into her character with Deliverance. Her and Bridgette are both so beautifully flawed. They both struggle in their own ways and are just trying to find some freedom in a world and society that was designed to keep them down. I loved getting a behind the scenes look at what was happening to them and the events that happens in Gallows Hill.
Bridgette was one of those characters that I hated at first. She was rude, a total butthead (think another b word but I don’t want my review to get flagged 😂☠️) and just stuck up. I loved seeing her character develop throughout the book. I especially loved that she was finally able to get help and started seeing a therapist. I truly believe everyone can benefit from therapy. Even the most stable people. But seeing her go through that process and open up and move through her trauma was such good character development. By the end of the book, I loved her and I just want more!
I was so happy to see her and Mags get the happy ending the both deserve and find their family with Skyla and the guys. It may be dysfunctional, but it definitely works for them. I’m so sad to see the gallows hill world come to an end, but I loved every minute of it.
Favorite quote: “My heart tugs at the way she says that. Finding her with Asher was definitely only the start of our story. I thought it would have been our demise; instead, we descended into this messy and complicated limbo, where neither of us are getting what we want. Deceit, betrayal, and hurt. All the good times fade away, and suddenly. those three emotions are all that remain.”

OMG guys this was my first time visiting the wonderful world of Gallows Hill Salem and I cannot wait to go back. I signed up for the arc just because it's a dark sapphic romance 😂 and Ms. Taylor DID NOT disappoint. This book has had me in a chokehold since I read it! Initially I didn't think I'd finish this book before the deadline because I've been so busy but BABYYYYYYYY I could not put it down!! The romance was sweet and the spice was 🥵🥵 I'm genuinely obsessed!!

The characters are just so raw and complex I couldn't help falling in love with them. I'm a girls girl so I could not stand the MC Bridgette at first due to her pick-me energy, but she is so funny and her character development was just so good I absolutely loved her by the end. They say that sapphic yearning is "just different", and they were not lying with this one! You can FEEL how much Maggie and Bridgette wanted each other. Not to mention the tension and build up of their tumultuous relationship, which made them coming together sooo much sweeter.

While the romance is more sweet than dark, the world it's set in is so dark and mysterious that I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm not joking when I say this NEEDS to be at the top of your TBR asap!

An absolutely delicious read!

Wow! Just wow! This is my first Sapphic romance and I devoured every bit of it! The story is a spin off of the Gallows Hill trilogy and it follows Maggie & Bridgette. It dives into their chaotic, dirty backstory and I truly loved getting to know who they were on a deeper level and knowing what they went through together and apart. Theirs is a love story that takes you through all the emotions and breaks your heart in the best way possible! It’s raw, it’s gritty, it’s toxic, it’s healing! Katelyn Taylor knows how to write dark romance and has a way of pulling you into the story so you feel like you’re living it right along with the characters. She never misses when it comes to spice, and ohhh was this one HOT! She crushed it yet again!! If you love enemies to lovers, forbidden romance, secret society and dark academia then grab this book now! I was lucky enough to be chosen as an ARC reader, but you better believe I will be grabbing a physical copy for my shelf after this!

I've been so excited for Maggie's story since meeting her in the Gallows Hill trilogy, and this one did not disappoint!!

Ahhh I love Bridgette!! The character development we see throughout this book is so good 😭

This book starts prior to the timeline of Gallows Hill, and then crosses over. I love seeing the parts that we've already had a glimpse of but from another perspective!

Another amazing book by Katelyn!!!

Bridgette and Maggie are new stepsisters and left together in their home for a couple of months, before returning to university. As they are living close together, their relationship starts to change, and they fall for each other. However, the society they are from is prone to arranged marriages, and they are not accepting. This leads to a toxic year for the two at school, as Bridgette wants to keep them a secret and continue her pursuit of Asher. Of course, there is a plot twist at the end that ties up all the strings perfectly. While this is a standalone, I loved getting to see events from the Gallows Hill trilogy from a different POV. Not only that, but I found myself feeling horrible for Bridgette, which is different than the trilogy. This unique found family is one of my favorites, and I am not ready to say goodbye to them: hopefully, there’s still more to come with Brad because he is the best. Please read the trigger warning before starting, as there is graphic content.

I’m so glad we are finally getting Maggie‘s story! This is such a good FF story. I really enjoyed finding out all the stuff I was missing that I read before and the other two books. It made me change my mind about Bridget. I’m really happy for her and Maggie. I loved this book!
