Bad Alpha

Good book. But sadly, RH is just not for me.

I didn’t like the relationships.  I don’t like Eve and I also don’t like that she is the reason most of the men chose to become a pack rather than bc of Adam who seems lovely

Kathryn Moon is in a league of her own. Let’s be real, romance is a genre that’s not exactly known for high quality literature- most of us are reading it for the relationships and the escapism. But Kathryn’s writing is so rich, so detailed, and so well organized that she really just knocks it out of the park every single time.

Bad Alpha is an incredible addition to the beloved Sweetverse. I love the portrayal of Eve and the character growth that we see throughout her story. The combination of aggression and vulnerability provides us with a new kind of FMC in this genre. The idea of a female Alpha in omegaverse is pretty rare, but it WORKS here. I think romance in general doesn’t usually focus on female dominance and at first I wasn’t really drawn to the idea, but I trusted Kathryn and she did not disappoint!

I felt that the pack members were balanced and each had a well-define role and place in the pack. Nobody felt extra or unnecessary. Stand-alone RH books often don’t have enough bandwidth for each character to really be developed, but I really felt that each of the main characters in this book got their own moments to be centerstage and nobody really got left behind.

The book is well-developed, engaging, and just an all around good read. I didn’t want to put it down. Even though it’s a standalone, we are left with a little cliffie at the end to keep us on the hook for the next book (with a different set of MCs).

Twas Fun

I just didn’t vibe with the anti pack feelings in this group. Eve was tough and I like her just not as an OV character..

I also didn’t love the pacing. Seemed like poor Rory was just thrown in there as a last minute thought. There was also a lot of unnecessary plot for a book this long. Bit of a lull in the middle

Praise the lord, an omegaverse that fully scratched the itch I needed it to! This one was so fun and I just honestly should’ve known to turn to Kathryn for what I wanted. I just loved the entire premise of this one: a female mercenary on a job and the target turns out to be an omega who is wrapped up in some crazy bonkers stuff?! Literally ate. it. up. Eve was a great character and I loved her complexity. It was cool to see her go from being a feral alpha to something else. Adam was fun and I just had so much fun with him and all his cons. Rory, Jamie, and Garrett were all big winners in my book as well. They all brought something different to the table and added just the right amount of tension to the mix. I do wish there would have been the tiniest bit more tying up of the loose ends, but I also know why the ones left loose were so I shant hold it against this book. Anyway, this book is an icon and I had a blast.

It was good but long. I don’t really go to the omegaverse but I enjoyed this visit.

OKAAAAAAAY,

Aw all a little bit messed up, but perfect for each other.
