I really enjoy Callie Harts' Blood and Roses series, as well as Rebels series and the Raleigh High series, but I have to say this duet dragged a little for me. I always like the chase between the two main characters and there wasn't really any of that in this one. I didn't hate it, but I don't think its her best work personally.

O casal em si deixa muito a desejar na questão de desenvolvimento, tem muitas frases românticas mas pouco motivo para isso porém a trama, os plots e todo resto é MUITO bom
This book was slow to start for me but once it got going it was fantastic. Seeing how all the pieces and clues from the first book fell into place is what I love in books. The storyline was captivating and unique. Great characters and setting. There is just something magical about the Gypsies.
The first book MUST be read prior to this or it will make no sense. I highly recommend anything this author writes because her skill is exemplary.

Trigger Warning: pedophilia, abuse, rape, torture, mutilation, psychological manipulation and kidnapping.
First off, evil in the most depraved and heartwrenching way torment Zara and Pasha as they race to rescue Sarah. The opening chapter absolutely destroyed me and I had a really hard time reading such a heinous subject, especially in the voice of a child victim. It was realistic, raw and devastating.
Pros:
Amidst the heartbreak we have the polar opposite, love. Love in the most sincere and beautiful way. I absolutely love Zara and Pasha. Pasha's brutal honesty, sincerity and steadfast certainty was so beautiful to read. Everyone should be loved that way.
"You feel like a constant. You're a song I've always known. I can hum you, the sound and the tone and the melody of you filling every single fiber of my being. I can't seem to remember the lyrics of you, but every second I spend with you, I am seeming to figure out where they fit." - Zara
“I wouldn’t have let you go,” he says. “If you decided we weren’t supposed to be…” He shakes his head, changing tack. “I would have f#$!&% fought for you, Zara. I would have made sure you knew that, for me, this isn’t just real. This is the only thing that’s real. The only thing that matters. Everything else is just white noise.” - Pasha
Cons:
The first half of the book was slower than the last half. Consistency issue with age (16/23). Ending left some things unresolved.
I recommend this series, but warn that you read Roma Queen with caution, especially for those who may be triggered by subject matters listed above.

I am so darn shocked by how much I loved this duet!!! It was fantastic. It had so much depth and mystery to it I couldn’t put it down. Pasha was a freakin fantastic hero. He was possessive and over the top. He was protective and unforgiving in his need for the h. And she was also pretty loveable. I loved the culture aspect. The strings being pulled. It was a really really good read
Wow!!!!
I knew it would be a tangled tale but wow!!!
Roma Queen is far more complicated than I thought. The past, present, and future collide in an epic showdown...all at the mercy of the puppet master.
Mysteries and trauma aside, we still have the wondrous tale of Pasha and Sara. Whirlwind and kismet. Destined and romantic. Coincidental and cosmic. Whatever labels you thought applied, don't. Everything between these two is almost other worldly.
Just know that this journey is full of surprises and sometimes answers have consequences.
