Susane Colasanti really used a teens perspective and emotional changes that are involved in high school life. I am an extreme fan of this book, it keeps you guessing but in a good way. There were a few loving moments and a few moments where I couldn't believe it happend, i had to keep reading.

Summary:
The main character, Lani goes through a lot of problems that teenage girls go through these days, love. Her best friend friend Erin has a new boyfriend, Jason. Jason and Lani have had a strong connection for a while. Once Erin leaves for summer camp, things heat up between Jason and Lani. Lani and Ein have been best friends forever and if something were to happen this summer, how could Lani ever ruin her friendship with Erin after she had saved Lani's life once before. Lani's guy bestfriend Blake, has a secret of his own that Lani helps him with. In the end, who will find out the truth hidden behind everyone's smile?

It was a light easy read. Kind of predictable.
I just wish Lani had realized earlier that keeping your soulmate away is almost impossible and your best friend isn't your best friend if she doesn't accept your boyfriend.

first of all the book cover was a bad choice, i mean u can tell the plot of the book by the cover.
i still decided to read it because teens usually enjoy this kind of story line and it actually had a deeper meaning than just teenage love… but i was a bit disappointed
this book was poorly written it got kinda annoying tbh.
the characters: i hate how stereotypical blake’s character was written, not all gay people act the same way susane colasanti described in the book.
Lani was just stupid sometimes! yes her character wasnt bad at all but how could she forgive Erin after what she did at the end??
also i couldn’t connect well with jason i feel like he was just a plain character and had no personality whatsoever, other than obsessing over lani.
And let me be honest even tho i didnt really enjoy reading that book, i loved lani’s sayings about fate and how things work out the way they’re supposed to! it was interesting to me and i felt a connection with her character about that topic.

This is my first read of "Susane Colasanti". I don't know if she has her own special style in writing or the story here is different, because there were some annoying things in the novel that I really didn't like, so I guess I've to read more of her work to decide.

At first I was enjoying this. There wasn't really any meaning and the main character was a little annoying. But then once the reveal happens, the plot just felt bad. The main character had no spine.

Great read. I really like the astrology aspect of this book. The main character is also very likable. Good book, quick and fun read(:

Lani is a super best friend, she is strong, loyal and constant. She is there to hold the greatest secret of her best friend Blake, and is there to listen to her best friend Erin's every changing crushes and boyfriends. When Erin begins dating Jason, Lani notices that she has growing feelings for him and that those feelings may be reciprocated. With Erin out of the picture at summer camp, Lani and Jason begin exploring their feelings for each other. How can be happy without breaking anyone's heart?

I didn't vibe with this book. I didn't like any of the characters and had trouble spending time with them. Lani's voice came across sanctimonious, which just made me think of that old saying about throwing stones in glass houses. Jason didn't feel strong enough to warrant the plot that occurs around him.
