DNF at 50% New to me author and had high hopes based off of other reviews.I was bored through the first half of the book and feel like nothing really happened. I tried to get through to get to the whiskey bottle scene, but marked it as a loss.
A friend recommended this book to me, and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. This was my first Harloe Rae and my first Avery Caris. I found that I thoroughly enjoyed Harloe's writing and the steamy parts were VERY steamy. Avery's performance fit the character perfectly. Joe's performance was excellent as always. 100% would recommend.
This was a nice one. The initial angst and awkwardness was fun and I enjoyed that we didn't have to follow the usual cookie-cutter romance timeline (meet, starting falling for each other, insert awful thing here to break them up, make up, HEA). This just did it's own thing and had a natural progression between the MCs that really emphasized their growth together despite the grief they were both surrounded by. Any reluctance was easily understood by their own past traumas.
Overall: 4.1/5 - It was fun and quick but managed to acquire some depth. The kids meddling was cute and the overabundance of love and support from the family and each other really allowed for a sweet story that didn't disappoint. Props go out to Casey and Adam. They were fun.

Quick read!
This was so sweet and steamy! Gah I loved the way that Rhodes was so gone for Rylee even when he tried to fight it. Which I’m not really sure why he did try to fight it in the beginning. But either way it made for some great tension and banter. But then when he got started with all of the swoony gestures. It was perfect. The four of them just fit together. The kids added great comedic relief.
I haven’t read many books where both MCs are single parents but I love the trope. Seeing the families blend together is so special.

Wonderful!
This story pulls out so much emotion. Crying, laughing, and sighing, I did them all. Rylee's brother owns a bar with his best friend Rhodes. But he dies tragically leaving his half of the bar to his sister. Rylee has a son and Rhodes has a daughter and when those two get together, it's hilarious! You gotta love what kids say. This was a great story and the first one I have read by this author but I plan on checking out her other books. I would definitely recommend this book.

oh my my
I have read some seriously dark romance and not so much batter an eye. But this book has me blushing and squealing and needing some air. There’s something about a super sweet story that goes 0-100 on the spice out of nowhere that just gets to me. I loved this book.

4/5 stars ⭐
At first I didn't like the FMC and this book took me an awful amount of time to read...... because I was determined to get through it and see what happened cause the plot was great.. As to how the kids behave I totally understand so I was okay with it. The plot was great too and the writing but as I said I didn't like the FMC especially in the beginning but she got better overtime.
Anyways this is my opinion and what I think of this and it's also my first small town romance and I'm new to this side of life as well reading published books.. I'd definitely recommend though. And as I always say to each their own.

it was cute but boring at the same time. i wish it brought more, but the relationship between the characters were cute.
