Another great read added to the Moose Village series. I love Declan and Harper’s story! The crushes are mutual in their youth, but age and his leaving for the Marines keep him from acting.
Now is another chance, but is Harper available? Does she still have feelings? Then there is a situation with his brother Sean.
There are some funny moments, heartfelt moments, and a great story. Ms. Elliott does a wonderful job with small towns and her characters. I recommend This Feeling and the Moose Village series.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

This Feeling by Kelly Elliott is the second book in the Moose Village Series and deals with many feelings. It's a story that will make you question the boundaries of love and friendship. Can you imagine your long-time boyfriend humiliating you by dumping you in public for the whole town to hear? That's what Sean Gallagher, an accountant, did to Harper Browning, the local florist owner. Sean and Harper grew up in the small town of Moose Village, where everyone knows everyone and everyone's business. Sean's parents, Matt and Maddie, have been married for thirty-five years, and his older brother Declan enlisted in the Marines right out of high school. He had made a career in the military, but it was time to retire, return home, fall in love, and start a family. However, his brother is dating his dream girl. Maddie has been trying to fix Sean up with her best friend's daughter, Crystal, but they feel their relationship is more of a sibling than a dating one. However, Maddie will not relent, and Sean doesn't have the nerve to stand up to his mother, so he's used a decoy, Harper. However, Sean and Harper's relationship is more friends than lovers, and when Sean's love interest, Caroline, returns to Moose Village, he dumps Harper only to ask her to fake date him; in return, she gets season tickets to the Giants, but is it worth it for season tickets, especially when the Giants are performing so poorly?

From the very first book in the Moose Village Series, I knew Kelly Elliott was crafting pure, swoon-worthy romance gold—and with This Feeling, she proves it tenfold.
This book brings us Declan and Harper, a pairing I didn’t know I needed until I fell headfirst into their chemistry-filled story. Declan has had a quiet crush on Harper—his younger brother Sean’s ex-girlfriend—since they were teens. But with five years between them and a military career ahead of him, Declan never acted on it. Years later, he’s left the military behind and is finally returning home, believing Harper and Sean are long over. Now? He’s ready to see if he still has a shot with the girl he never forgot.
Harper, meanwhile, was never heartbroken over Sean. The relationship fizzled, ending in an embarrassing breakup she was more than ready to move on from. But when Sean promises her New York Giants sideline passes in exchange for pretending to still be a couple, Harper’s inner people-pleaser can’t resist. What’s the harm in a little fake dating for great seats?
Enter Declan—back in town, living across the street, and not buying the act for a second. The moment their eyes meet, sparks fly. The chemistry is instant, undeniable, and impossible to ignore.
Ms Elliott delivers it all:
• Swoon at the florist shop (Harper’s business, which sets the perfect backdrop for tender and steamy moments).
• Lipstick kisses and one dream that is hot, hot, hot.
• Laugh-out-loud scenes (a certain pickleball bat still has me grinning).
• Heart-clenching emotion and real, raw vulnerability.
• A slow-burn unraveling of secrets, tension, and romantic tension that keeps you hooked until the very last page.
And both sets of parents? Total scene-stealers with their hilarious, heartwarming moments that add even more depth to this cosy small-town world.
This Feeling is a captivating romance with the perfect balance of flirty heat, emotional feels, and laugh-out-loud fun. Kelly Elliott continues to knock it out of the park with this series—I’m already counting down to the next visit to Moose Village.

A bundle of hijinx that stirs up the senses and sticks to the heart. Elliott keeps the emotion and sprinkles in bits of humor. This Feeling is an ironic, captivation that delivers vulnerable and strength with a burst of hope. Elliott steps outside of her comfort zone with soulful results.

This Feeling (Moose Village #2) is a small town, ex-boyfriend’s brother romance.
Declan and Harper’s story was a fun, entertaining read. I devoured every word. Their chemistry was so good, and I could feel the connection between them as the story progressed. The witty banter between the couple and their friends was a delight. I look forward to the next book!

Declan and Harper’s story was a sweet and heartwarming. Don’t get me wrong. It came with a boatload of complications, but it was interesting to watch the shenanigans play out. Moose Village is definitely a place I’d love to visit.

Harper and Declan’s story is funny, refreshing and heartwarming. Both have been attracted to the other for years, but so much has stood in the way of a relationship between them, not the least of which is his brother dating her instead and Declan’s service in the Marines. Now, Declan has left the Marines and returning to Moose Village where he will be joining the local police force and, hopefully, finally dating his dream girl, Harper, now that he hears she is no longer dating his brother. Discovering Harper is back with brother is disheartening until Declan realizes that Harper does look happy about it and his brother is eying someone else. Does Declan the woman of his dreams? He certainly does, and their story is filled with lots of funny moments that had me laughing out loud, moments that made me sigh as well as moments that made me tear up and reach for a tissue.
Besides sorting out the fake dating arrangement, Harper and Declan have to deal with his mama’s boy brother, his controlling and over protective mama, bickering friends and lots of gossip. Life in a small town may be a little slower, but it is rarely dull, at least not behind closed doors,(wink, wink). I will happily recommend this harming book.

Kelly Elliott returns readers to Moose Village with a beautiful romance filled with great characters, humour and heart; and I was hooked from start to finish.
As flower shop owner Harper is publicly dumped by her boyfriend Sean. But, he begs her to pretend they’ve gotten back together to appease his overbearing mother and reluctantly, Harper agrees, but only if Sean provides season tickets for the Giants and keeps their 'fake' relationship short-lived.
However, everything changes when Sean’s older brother, Declan, returns home after serving in the Marines. As he quickly realises that Harper and Sean don’t seem like the happy couple they’re pretending to be. In fact, they don’t look like a couple at all, which pleases Declan because he has always had feelings for her.
And when he discovers that Harper feels the same way, the pair are determined to be together and force Sean to finally face up to his mum and tell her how he really feels.
And with no third act breakup, laugh-out-loud moments, meddling mothers, spicy moments and excellent pacing, This Feeling is a romance I couldn't put down and one that I wholeheartedly recommend to all.
My thanks to Greys Promo for the opportunity to read an early copy of This Feeling. All thoughts expressed are my own. ☺️

Overall Rating-4/5⭐️
Spice-🌶️🌶️
Plot-4/5
Trigger warnings- controlling mother, work related injury, friend with cancer
Tropes- small town, ex military now cop MMC, it’s always been you, ex boyfriend’s brother, fake dating
This book was a hoot to read. It gave me Hallmark movie vibes all over again like book one did but this one made me laugh out loud multiple times. Pickleball paddle (IYKYK). Harper is a strong willed FMC who owns a flower shop in town, I love that she doesn’t take shit from anyone including the mother of her boyfriends (also a IYKYK moment). The friend group in this book is top tier and they all come together in hard times as well as have the best times together. I hope we get a book for Gavin, I am so intrigued to know what may be going on with him and Brystol. Overall this book and the series so far have been a great small town romance with some extras sprinkled in.
