This book was awesome. I've had it on my TBR for ages, basically since it came out and I just never found the right time to read it. But when I was supposed to be starting a buddy read with my bff, I came across this on amazon or goodreads or someplace and it literally jumped off the computer screen and onto my kindle before I even knew what hit me. Before I knew it, I was in love with Professor Feelgood and anticipating what was going to happen next.
I loved the chemistry between Jake and Asha. I loved their bantering. I loved how she was surprised to find out who Professor Feelgood was. I loved watching them fight and bicker and work together. I loved their history and connection. I loved seeing beneath the surface of their anger and bickering to two hurt kids that missed their best friend.
This book was amazing. It literally took me through a full range of emotions. I'd feel sad for all they've lost one minute and I'd be laughing at Moby Duck's antics the next. And can I just say, I loved that duck. He wasn't in the book much, but when he was...perfection. It almost made me want a pet duck.
The only question I had at the end of the book was about Jake & Asha and the HEA app...they never did see what they app said about that and I realize it doesn't really matter, but seeing as they went to the party and stuff, and both of them saw their compatibility with others according to the app...I kind of wanted to see what it had to say about them.
Overall, this book was amazing and I highly recommend it!

4.5 Feel Good Stars!!
“Your words are just so….visceral. They’re full of passion, and longing, and pain, and how you write…” “It affects people. And that’s what the best art should do. Art shouldn’t make us happy and comfortable. It should challenge us. Dare us to step outside our comfort zone for a while.”
“Whether you or not you love someone is irrelevant. The difference between heaven and hell is them loving you back. If they don’t, you can’t do a damn thing about it except pack up your heart and move on.”
“I have the strongest urge to just sit here and immerse myself in his words. Bathe in their literary richness like Scrooge McDuck bathes in money.”
Professor Feelgood has been on my can’t wait to get my hands on list and was one of my most anticipated novels. I am a huge fan of Leisa Rayven’s books so, the bar was definitely set high for this book and let me tell you this book was soooo worth the wait. Professor Feelgood is smart, funny and filled with delicious tension. This book captivated me from the very first page and had me devouring every single word…
Professor Feelgood follows the story of Asha & Jacob. A hopeless romantic with a budding career in the book industry, Asha believes she has stumbled upon the next big thing. She’s riveted and spellbound by the words of Professor Feelgood. His words are sexy, real and full of hope. She’s convinced that Professor Feelgood could be a best seller. But, when she secured the deal, she never imagined what she would be getting herself into. You see, there is more to the professor than what meets the eye. He’s rude, arrogant, the very definition of jerk. He challenges Asha in ways that she never expected and stirs up feelings that she thought were dead….
Professor Feelgood is the kind of book that captivates you and sweeps you off your feet. The story-line is fun and entertaining. Jacob is by far the biggest jerk, but I just loved him. I couldn’t wait to see what would come out of his mouth next. And Asha took it as well as she gave it, never missing a beat. The banter between these two is off the charts. The kind of banter that makes you want to grab a bag of popcorn and settle in for the ride. Their story was hands down one of my favorite enemies to lovers stories. It gave me everything I was looking for and then some. From entertaining banter to intense chemistry. To secrets of the past and misunderstandings. To oh so swoon worthy moments and moments that just made your heart ache. I’m telling you, this book hit all the marks.
I loved every moment of this story from beginning to end. Jacob and Asha’s story was so unexpected and so much more than I ever thought would be possible. It was beautifully written and sweet with an oh so satisfying ending. These characters were so easy to get lost in and kept me begging for more.

When I read the blurb of this book, I was intrigued. I was curious about these angst-filled poetry that would cause this instant lust from the heroine, Asha and what happened to this professor to reveal all this pain to the world. Oh all the feels!!!
I really did enjoy this story. When Professor Feelgood was finally revealed to Asha, talk about sparks flying and some major tension between the two. This is definitely an enemies to lovers story. There are so many emotions in this book, so much heartache for both, so much angst from the past, but there are many sweet moments too. This was a slow burn love story, but the chemistry was strong throughout. There were quite a few twists and turns, but when they finally achieved their happily ever after it was swoon-worthy!
Leisa Rayvan is a new to me author and I found this book really entertaining. I am looking forward to reading more from her.

I went into this one blind and I was pleasantly surprised. It was more of a enemies to lovers, second chance-ish story. And I enjoyed each second. I loved Nan in the previous book and even though her appearances in this one was slim- I loved any glimpse given.
Nice read!
Nice read!
This book was soooo good! I absolutely loved the story line, the witty banter, the lead up to the HEA!! It was well written and narrated!! I may have to read it again! Highly recommend if you like a ETL/FTL storyline!! ❤️

I've wanted more from the Masters of Love world since finishing the first book ages ago. I had sky high expectations for Professor Feelgood and Leisa exceeded them. I was obsessed with this book once I started. Like, sacrificed-at-least-three-steps-in-my-morning-routine-in-favor-of-reading-more obsessed. It was hard not to try to sneak in a few pages between tasks at work. I couldn't wait to get home so I could finish it. This book was definitely of the "drop all the things" variety. I loved every minute of it.
Professor Feelgood was the perfect combination of tropes, while still having an identity all its own. Asha and Jake's story totally tugged at my heartstrings. I'm a sucker for a good slow burn, but I pretty much wanted to smush these two together and find a way to force them to admit their feelings. Their chemistry was amazing and, even in the rocky beginning and once more information came out, I was all about them. Their past wasn't pretty and there was plenty of hurt to overcome, but they were just so freaking right together.
I loved everything about this book. It made me smile and laugh. It also totally made me cry. Both Jake and Asha were amazing characters. I loved learning more about them and their past, as well as seeing how they grew and forgave during this story. Their story was so beautiful it almost hurt. Jake's poems were hot and sexy and so very romantic. But they were nothing compared to what was to come. Oh, my feels. My heart.
Can I give Professor Feelgood more than five stars? Seriously? It should get ALL THE STARS. It's a totally gorgeous book. I swear, I highlighted roughly 1/4 of the book because the words were so perfect and spoke to me the way they did. I had a tough time deciding which quotes to highlight below, so I might've gone a little overboard. (I also don't care.) With all of its swoons and feels, it's easily one of my top reads of 2018. This one absolutely has to be on your TBR.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
FAVORITE QUOTES
"I want to slide my tongue over yours until you understand all the reasons I love you that I can't put into words."
I agree that we all have our issues, but telling someone to get over it is pointless. Some events are written in permanent ink on our psyche, and no amount of mental scrubbing will erase them.
I want to be immune to how his poems make me feel, but there's something about him pining over a woman like a lovesick fool that I have zero defense against.
Does heartache always stop you in your tracks? Does it bend time and take you back to the moment when someone punched a person-shaped hole in your chest?
"What happened to us, Ash? We used to think we'd be friends forever. We dreamed so big it hurt our brains. And now... The biggest thing we have in common these days is our anger, and I have no goddamn clue how to change that."
How is it possible to feel so many conflicting emotions about a single person? How can I love him and hate him at the same time? How can I want to never see him again and want to beg him to never leave my side?
"If I'm going to have regrets, I want it to be about things I've done, not things I wish I had."
They say you can never go home again, but that's not true. You can, but you'll always be astounded by how small everything seems.
And even when what I feel for him shakes me to my very foundation, I know one thing for certain: I could read every romance novel on earth and still not find a tale as compelling, satisfying, and passionate as the one I'm living. The story of us.

Leisa Rayven has done it again!! PROFESSOR FEELGOOD is a beautifully written story full of gorgeous prose and just the right amount of angst!!
I can't even begin to explain this book to you in a way that fully describes it in all of it's glory. It has everything that you could ever imagine all wrapped up into one book. It's a lifelong love, enemies to lovers, mistaken identity, friends to lovers romance that will hit you with all of the feels!!
It was no surprise to me that I would fall for the hero, the mysterious Professor Feelgood, pretty quickly but I was kind of surprised about how mad I was at Asha and some of her choices for a majority of this book. I UNDERSTAND why she did some of the things that she did but I didn't like it. However, as the story proceeded and I get to know her and PF more, things start to make a lot of sense and I really found myself rooting for them.
Without a doubt my favorite part of this book was reading Professor Feelgood's poems/posts/excerpts and listening to him describe life, love, loss and trying to move on. Normally I find myself rolling my eyes and generally being annoyed by flowery prose but I was rooted to the pages of this book and the beautiful writing from Leisa Rayven. This is an absolute MUST READ!!

Well this book certainly threw me a couple of times, which I love! Never like a book being to predictable. But as I neared the end I found myself skipping over the words.. the ending was just a bit too cheesy and I think I’ll never be able to wrap my head around getting engaged at 24... I love the enemies to friends to lovers trope but I felt that the story could have used just a bit more angst to give the story more depth and overall length.
(Or maybe SJM just spoiled me with 400+ page books and now I find “just 300 pages” too short)
Edit: 3,5 stars instead of 4. Couldn’t help but think how many lose ends there are. The continuity is just off for some parts
