WOW! What an epic conclusion to this trilogy! I am literally in awe of the way that this series has become so complex and intricate with each passing book. It's easily one of my fave book series of all time and I already want to re-read it. I love the attention that the author paid to the injuries that Sage endured in the second book and the mental ramifications of it. I LOVE how the romantic pairings are just interwoven into the story and the drama that is in the story doesn't involve the romance. I cannot wait to see more from this author.

It’s funny when you start a series, and as time goes by your reading preferences start to change.
This is not my usual choice of reading currently, as a few years ago I was a little less picky. There’s is no magic, and it is heavily focused on politics (as well as romance) which is something that doesn’t appeal to me anymore. But that being said I feel like Erin was still able to write this story in a way that can be entertaining for many readers.
What drew me into the series was the big plot twist Erin gave us in the Traitors Kiss. It was done so well that I was blown away. The fact that it lacked magic didn’t even bother me.
And even now despite my change in taste, I still found myself interested in how the story ended.
Sage and Alex were quite interesting to follow. Sage was stubborn as shit even if it almost cost her her own life, and Alex was so protective he morphed into an ass who I wanted to kick in the face almost all the time. Even so, I liked them both. Their love for each other was genuine and I found that very cute. That’s what they were, they were cute.
I think the first two books remain my favorite though, as they were a little more exciting than this last installment, which is why my review is only four stars. That’s still pretty high considering the first 150 pages all centered around peace talks and kissing here and there. It’s just that despite it mostly centering around talking, Erin still manages to capture my attention and so four stars seemed fair.
Overall it was a cute read. And I’m happy for Sage and Alex.

The politics, characters, ending, and romance!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS!
I loved these books. Definitely not spicy but has some sweet moments. I liked the concepts and the plot lines although this novels plot seemed a bit stretched. All in all the series was a quick, easy, and comforting read.
I really enjoyed the conclusion to Sage and Alex's story and I guess that shows in the fact that I read the book in 2 days!
I loved the ending, the plot twist, and the moments between Sage and Alex!
Some praise for the book but also the series as a whole:
I really love that the chapters are short but action packed so they don't drag on and I definitely felt hooked at the end of every chapter to keep reading (as you should with any good book).
I also love that this series doesn't shy away from going into depth and details of all the military procedures and protocols because I feel like a lot of YA books shy away from that and instead focus more on the romance or other things
I knew the beautiful covers couldn't steer me wrong!

This was a good conclusion to the series but I wanted more. Specifically, more from the side characters. After 3 books focusing on Alex and Sage I got a bit bored.
This series was pitched to me as a YA version of Game of Thrones and I think that’s a fair comparison. Lots of politics in the series, but it was easy to follow for the most part.
Overall this is a 3.5⭐️ series for me! I had a fun time reading it and the book covers are beautiful.
