When the book opens with a bride commando crawling away from her wedding, you know you have a humorous story ahead. Add in two messy family situations, sizzling chemistry and great characters, it's a recipe for a winner. I loved Luanne and Kyle and really enjoyed this story.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily provided this honest review

This was a cute read. It was funny, sometimes in really crazy ways. I legit questioned if some things were really happening lol I also enjoyed the exchanges between Luanne and Jack. The tension is also so delicious. It was funny because some may find this frustrating, but I really don't. It was fun for me to watch them dancing around each other. I liked how trust grew between them. Their dynamic was really confusing at times though. They had that push-pull, hot-cold, friendly-hostile thing going between them the whole time. I guess they're just good at keeping each other on their toes.

There were parts at the beginning that confused me. I felt like there was so much going on, like I'm not really reading that fast but I still feel like everything is going too fast. Some conflicts were thrown suddenly as if it was no big deal which got me a feeling a bit off-tracked. However, things eventually turn pretty interesting that had me finishing the book really quickly. As for the characters, they were okay. I liked Luanne's sass and Jack's kindness. I don't really feel something special for them though. The conflict resolutions at the end felt a bit rushed too.

I freaking love Enemies to Lovers romances. The sparks, the cutting remarks, the repressed heat. Running with a Sweet Talker has all of those things, but so much more.

I recently re-read this book because it is so incredibly good that it deserves valuable space in my reading time. Luann runs from her own wedding before the I-Do's are said and her only option for a getaway is her sworn enemy, Jack. They hop into his car and start on a journey that leads them to past secrets, found family, self discovery, and love. Along the way there are plenty of laughs and swoony sighs and hot scenes. I freaking LOVE this book, y'all!

Like the other books in this series, Jami Albright goes well beyond the standard tropes and delivers a story that feels like a breath of fresh air and gives you all the feels. Her writing is stellar, her characters funny and flawed, and her stories are equal parts sweet and sexy.

Luann is a smart, feisty, female lead who is no pushover. I love her wit and her passion. Jack is so very sweet under his protective layers of charm. These characters fight their own demons, both separately and together, in a perfect blend of heart and heat.

This was an enjoyable read from another new to me author. There were many parts of the book I really liked, but there were also parts I did not. I do have to say it was funny! I loved the beginning where Jack is witnessing Luanne's "bride on the run" antics. The banter between the two was also pretty hilarious. Jack calling Luanne hummingbird was really sweet. I just love sweet nicknames, it just does something to me lol. I think what I did not enjoy so much was how cruel the parents ended up being. I just didn't understand why Jack's father had to be so mean. It just didn't make sense to me and don't get me started on Luanne's father, what a horrible man!

I also kept going back and forth with the story itself as it went along. Luanne considers herself a badass, but then when read about how she is with her father... not so much. And her deciding on her own to go meet Jack's family, again on the shelf. Jack would have never done it on his own and his family was really cool so not quite sure how I felt about this decision. The robbery scene was funny and kind of sweet, but also a bit far fetched. But it is fiction so what can I say.

All in all I enjoyed the book but not one that would really be memorable.

I really loved rhe first in this series so I went into this one blind... I didn't check who the characters were or anything so I was pleasently surprised to find Luanne and Jack... God do I love them.

I knew in the first book that Lu and Jack would make a great couple but I didn't think I'd get to see it... Im so happy right now.

This one was much funnier than the first but so very laboured... The first half of the book seemed so long and I almsoted dnfed it... I pushed through and the second half was souch quicker... But the ending was far too rushed for my taste sadly.

I hate to say it but found Jack's 'new' family to be in your face and annoying... Kyle and Beau are about the only redeeming character for the family. There wasn't enough time spent with Mitch, I think he could have been great.

Luanne finally standing up to her dad was good but far too short for me.

Im now really unsure if I want to read the next book
