I’m a big fan of the “I’m storming your castle and holding you hostage, but why are you dying and will you let me warm you up?” energy in this medieval fantasy romance.

I especially liked that I can add this to my “enemies get slapped” shelf, as the revenge is especially bloodthirsty. Elzira creates magical ice swords and Ryke controls fire, so they’re both pretty violent people.

Points taken off for the last 20% of the book, where the pacing was a little off. I thought the story had ended, but it kept going and got darker and more twisty than I was prepared for. I was riveted and disturbed….

I've only ever read contemporary work by this author so wasn't sure what to expect here. I have to say I think she did a fantastic job of writing a twisted fairytale. For me it was more grey than truly dark, but the intrigue and fast paced plot was still hugely entertaining and well executed.

Very, very loosely based on 'Frozen' this tale of Fire verses Ice is one I can happily recommend. The chemistry between Elzira and Ryke was so powerful it exploded off the page, a violent and compelling attraction that made this book shine.

Rather than being one big plot idea that is gradually built up to, this is more a series of smaller story lines, that are woven into one amazing love story that will span the eons. It worked so well and gave a book that constantly provided the unexpected. Has K Webster written other paranormal/fantasy books I wonder, because if she has I definitely need to read them.

Absolutely 5⭐'s I wish I could give it more. I loved this spinoff of Frozen in adult form so much. Kristy is one of my favorite authors and one that I don't have to know what it's about to one click it.
Elzira is the young cold queen who's dying when Ryke shows up wanting peace or blood and sees what's going on because they don't call him the Truth Seeker for nothing he sets a plan in motion. What is that plan, you'll just have to one click it to find out and you won't be disappointed.
This is only book 2 in the Sinister Collection and both book's were amazing stories I can't wait to read the next in line because their only getting started.

It goes without saying that I am a fan of fairytales. I just didn't realize how big my dark streak was until these fairytales...

Cold Queen is a frosty tale of betrayal, lust, and forever. The dying queen, the conquering king, and what happens when the truth is revealed.

I was excited to learn my paranoia was justified. I was both heartbroken and vindicated in my thoughts. My fiery yet cold heart was warmed knowing that everything would work out in the end.

I maybe partial to green eyes and a gorgeous face but even I know rugged beauty isn't everything. Or maybe....a different beauty is needed to sway this queen.

Whichever way you are partial, Cold Queen will keep you entertained in a way it's Disney counterpart never could!

Cold Queen will bring you chills packed with delicious heat! Webster spins a story so new and enticing! The whole time I was reading I kept picturing Charlize Theron with Elsa ice power! This book was highly addictive! I am a huge lover of the dark and sinister! This book was delightfully twisted with a passion so hot it definitely should have melted my kindle right along with those panties! Our Beautiful dying Queen was not what the fire king expected! The Truth Seeking king happens to surprise me as well. Deadly, cruel and intoxicating, ohh I swooned for him throughout this book! I loved their unexpected pull! It was so magnetic and unknown but nothing could have been more right. Once the king places himself in her castle things certainly unravel and ignite quickly, along with questions...I don’t want to give any parts of this Exciting tale away so I’ll stop there. The Cold Queen has powerful abilities and I was so mesmerized with how perfectly they complimented the King’s. I loved that the reader doesn’t get lost in the details, everything flows smoothly and gives you that desperation to keep reading. Webster creates a world you long to be in and calls to your dark side. I loved the ending and would definitely vote for this book to be made into a movie! Cold Queen is part of the Sinister Fairytale Collection! If you love fairytales with a twist and secretly crave sinister delights be sure to check out the other books! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
