Absolutely 5⭐'s I wish I could give it more. I loved this spinoff of Frozen in adult form so much. Kristy is one of my favorite authors and one that I don't have to know what it's about to one click it.
Elzira is the young cold queen who's dying when Ryke shows up wanting peace or blood and sees what's going on because they don't call him the Truth Seeker for nothing he sets a plan in motion. What is that plan, you'll just have to one click it to find out and you won't be disappointed.
This is only book 2 in the Sinister Collection and both book's were amazing stories I can't wait to read the next in line because their only getting started.

It goes without saying that I am a fan of fairytales. I just didn't realize how big my dark streak was until these fairytales...

Cold Queen is a frosty tale of betrayal, lust, and forever. The dying queen, the conquering king, and what happens when the truth is revealed.

I was excited to learn my paranoia was justified. I was both heartbroken and vindicated in my thoughts. My fiery yet cold heart was warmed knowing that everything would work out in the end.

I maybe partial to green eyes and a gorgeous face but even I know rugged beauty isn't everything. Or maybe....a different beauty is needed to sway this queen.

Whichever way you are partial, Cold Queen will keep you entertained in a way it's Disney counterpart never could!

Cold Queen will bring you chills packed with delicious heat! Webster spins a story so new and enticing! The whole time I was reading I kept picturing Charlize Theron with Elsa ice power! This book was highly addictive! I am a huge lover of the dark and sinister! This book was delightfully twisted with a passion so hot it definitely should have melted my kindle right along with those panties! Our Beautiful dying Queen was not what the fire king expected! The Truth Seeking king happens to surprise me as well. Deadly, cruel and intoxicating, ohh I swooned for him throughout this book! I loved their unexpected pull! It was so magnetic and unknown but nothing could have been more right. Once the king places himself in her castle things certainly unravel and ignite quickly, along with questions...I don’t want to give any parts of this Exciting tale away so I’ll stop there. The Cold Queen has powerful abilities and I was so mesmerized with how perfectly they complimented the King’s. I loved that the reader doesn’t get lost in the details, everything flows smoothly and gives you that desperation to keep reading. Webster creates a world you long to be in and calls to your dark side. I loved the ending and would definitely vote for this book to be made into a movie! Cold Queen is part of the Sinister Fairytale Collection! If you love fairytales with a twist and secretly crave sinister delights be sure to check out the other books! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

“I came here to marry a princess and find a way into the Hidden Lands in search of a war. Instead, I fucked a queen and am uniting in a battle with her.”

King Bloodsun had every intention of having a marriage of convenience with the pretty little Princess of Whitestone but the sick, weakened, cold Queen isn’t having it. Queen Elzira is on her final days. No doctor can figure out why she’s weakening at such a young age. Her powers seemingly gone... it’s a mystery.
A mystery that King Ryke is questioning.

As King Ryke tries to force the cold Queen to give her sisters hand in marriage, they slowly form a bond. And he slowly heals her. Protects her. Questions everyone around her. And solves what’s going on.

I honestly did not see the twist coming at the end of the book. I was speechless on the plot twist.

Ryke gets the Queen her warmth with his fire power and her health slowly back, they have a battle to win. She’s coming back to life. And with vengeance on who betrayed her in her own kingdom.

“I am Queen Whitestone.
Cold Queen.
Creator of diamondblades.
Weather maker.
The Punisher of The Damned.”

Cold Queen is the second book in the Sinister Fairy Tale Collection. Although a part of the collection of stories and I haven’t read the first book, this can be read as a standalone. As the name of the collection says, this is a dark, twisted re-telling of Frozen and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. It is no secret that I love everything this author writes since I started reading her other works and I wasn’t disappointed in this newest book.

I admit, at first I thought this will be a retelling of Snow White, you know with the references of snow in this book or Cinderella since there is the a matter of stepmother and sister, Yanna but as a I read on, I was like, nope, this is Frozen. So, the story follows when Elzira and Yanna was orphaned at a young age when their parents died on the way to their travels. As the oldest, she was crowned Queen immediately and given the vast responsibilities of being one for Norta Icelands and taking care of her sister. Through all the early years of her reign, she was a force to be reckoned with as she was able to use her gift as the weather maker but a few years later, her strength and power was waning.

When King Ryke Bloodsun of Souta Volcanoes came to her land to strike a deal by marrying Princess Yanna and therefore merging their powerful kingdom so he could go on a mission to Hidden Lands, Queen Elzira refuses. She felt that she will die soon and she wanted someone who will love her sister as she did, and she knew that King Ryke will just use her sister. King Ryke couldn’t help but be intrigued by the fierce spirit of the almost-dying Cold Queen and continued to seek her attention. During this course, he began to be suspicious of the people around the queen and vowed to find the truth and as a result, helped her gain her powers and strength.

The story has the element of enemies-to-lovers, action packed with zombie-like nemesis, betrayals (this one really hurts! Ugh!) and a lot of steamy scenes and romance (whew!). The buildup of suspense was just right and I was sure of the culprit’s identity only to be proved wrong. Ugh! I wasn’t expecting that reveal. King Ryke is one intense alpha male but has a tender spot for his queen, and that my friend made him such as hot book boyfriend! This was an intense, suspenseful, steamy read and definitely recommends it to every romance lover out there. Can’t wait for another book from this collection!

I won’t lie, before I began Cold Queen, I wasn’t really that excited about it because I wasn’t in the mood to read it at that particular moment, but it was time to get it done and I just told myself to get over my funky book mood. So I started it and oh, boy, did I get invested — like majorly invested, like I was loving every minute, I never wanted it to end, and I didn’t want to pull myself away from it until I finished. Cold Queen was just incredible and I loved it so hard!

I loved the hero and heroine to pieces; Elzira is a complete and utter boss, she’s fierce and a real force to be reckoned with just like Ryke — that man is wicked and dirty and oh so hot, pun accidentally intended, and I was all here for him. I was all here for them both and their story, it’s definitely my favorite K. Webster book so far this year! Cold Queen is one of the best fairytale re-tellings I’ve read and I already want read it again — if you love re-tellings, this is one, without a doubt, that you should pick up!

Well, this was a very pleasant surprise, I never expected this brilliant story to take me under and don't let me go until the end. I will never view the original story the same way. Elzira and Ryke where a match made from fire and ice. I totally look forward to more story retellings from K Webster. A must read.

The perfect crossover between Frozen and Game of Thrones, fire and ice clash in this one in the steamiest possible way! If you’re looking for a quick steamy read that also has a twist on a Disney retelling, look no further because this one will do. With the twist of a medieval/pnr world where the kings and queens have powers of elements, you’ll want to see what happens when the Punisher, Queen of Cold meets the King of Fire & Truth - how they clash, the tension, and if they fall in love!
