Wonderful. It was quick, but a gripping story with wonderful characters that you really care for.

such an interesting concept - a guy is losing a pound a day without physically losing any weight. for being such a short book/novella, the middle was boring? the middle is like a 1-2 star but the beginning and ending made it a 3.

"He remembered running up and down the bandstand steps. He remembered dancing across the kitchen floor as Stevie Wonder sang "Super-stition." This was the same. Not a wind, not even a high, exactly, but an elevation. A sense that you had gone beyond yourself and could go farther still."

Clearly, King is thinking about his mortality... This is a fun-but-thoughtful read.

I would give more than 5 Stars if it were possible.

It's been a while since I've read anything from the King and I'd forgotten just how his books make you feel.

And this easy, little read makes you feel the absolute most.

I almost always enioy a Stephen King but the premise of this one (as intriguing as it is) and its short page count didn't prepare me for the complete roller-coaster of emotions I experienced.

Confusion, Interest, Investment, Annoyance, Defeat, Hope, Relief, Love, Loss

I'm usually a quiet reader, but I was spilling this plot to my partner page for page as I went.

With a super likable main character that was too easy to root for, and an ending that leaves that sense of awe bordering on fear taste in your mouth, ~~I'm almost ready to call this one of my all-time favorites...~~ I'd happily call this one of my new all-time favorites.
