Is it hot in here because Marni Mann really brought the heat with this one!  Hart and Sadie start out with the one night stand to top all one night stands!  I could not get over that whole entire scene, Hart's dirty mouth, and Sadie's desire to be a naughty girl!  Not only was their first encounter perfect, but Hart falls hard for her and I loved all of the coincidental additional meetings they had which really helped bring out the smoking hot chemistry these two had together.  The story flowed so well that I devoured it.

Vanessa Edwin and Aiden Snow completely blew me away with their audio performances.  It was rich and sultry, dirty and delicious at the same time and absolutely perfect for Sadie and Hart.

General Thoughts: I have loved reading books by Marni Mann. They are always such refreshing, fun reads. I love how she approaches her stories and characters. She has definitely set the stage for some really interesting books to follow this one. I love it when the insta-lust, only one night to a romantic relationship is done well, and this one was. Her relationships tend to move fast and at lightning speed, but I don't ever mind it in her books. She does it well. I thought this was a fun read that I was lost in. I'd recommend. Reading Order: Interconnected to a different series. Prior characters make cameos. You could jump in here, though.

I devoured this. Hart is an absolute cocky, arrogant playboy. The banter between him and his siblings is always great, I love that they all work together and are actually all close despite what some of their banter is. Sadie is a bit reserved, but full of sunshine. The absolute chemistry between Hart & Sadie was off the charts. Right from the beginning you could just feel it as you read. And the mouth on Hart? My. God. šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø As things start to get more serious between them, there are lingering secrets that come into play that could change it all. I’m already counting down for the next siblings book!

This was such a fun audio! The narrators are wonderful at bringing these two to life. The restaurant reviewer x billionaire owner is such a fun trope. I’m looking forward to more of the series.

This book totally surprised me in the best way! I devoured it in one sitting and couldn’t put it down. Hart and Sadie were absolute perfection. The chemistry between them was electric from the very beginning, and their journey was the perfect mix of steam, emotion, and heart.

Hart is your classic one-night-stand guy who doesn’t believe in forever… until she walks in. Sadie, on the other hand, has always played it safe until Hart flips her whole world upside down. Their connection is intense, addictive, and yes… very spicy. What I loved most was that the story didn’t rely solely on the spice—there was depth, fun, and a storyline that kept me completely engaged.

The restaurant and food influencer subplot was such a fun twist and added something fresh to the story. And I really appreciated that when the drama hit, the characters actually handled it like adults. No unnecessary third act breakup here! That alone earned major points from me.

And can we talk about the narration? Vanessa Edwin & Aiden Snow brought these characters to life perfectly. Their voices fit the roles so well, and the emotions came through in every scene.

If you love steamy romance with heart, chemistry that leaps off the page, and a couple you can’t stop rooting for—The Arrogant One needs to be on your TBR!

HEA

The Arrogant One is the first book in Marni Mann's newest series, The Weston Group, which is related to her other series The Dalton Family and The Spade Hotel. Which I enjoyed that I got to see characters from those series.
The main character of The Arrogant One is playboy Lockhart and when he was first introduced nothing about him said that he wanted a relationship. Enter in Sadie and at first all Lockhart seemingly wants from her is a ONS, but Sadie is looking for a real relationship. But for both of them over the course of a Manhattan and a conversation both of them beginning to think they might bend their rules. Sadie is willing to male it a ONS but Lockhart quickly realizes he wants to know more about her, which he's never done before.
Reading this book was so enjoyable because you could see how well they fit together and got along with each other. But the entire time they start dating both have secrets that could affect what they're building together. TBH if either of them just fessed up to their secrets closer to the beginning there wouldn't have been a problem but if they had I don't think the relationship would have ever really started. The secrets have a thread of commonality between their jobs and that commonality could threaten either of their jobs.
When I start a new series I love to try and predict who future couples will be and in this book I got the feeling that Lockhart's brother that is the chef of their restaurants, Walker, is going to fall in love with the head chef of the restaurant they acquired during the book. Walker has a desire/need to be the best chef in town. Enter the hottest new steakhouse in town that is in direct competition with their own steakhouse with a unnamed female head chef that is everything behind the restaurant. I think they are going to have an enemies to lovers story of them learning to work together and Walker learning to relax and enjoy cooking again. But that's just my thoughts.

HELLOOOOOO Westons!!! Dang! What a spicy start to this series! šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„ā£

Lockhart and Sadie burned up these pages at every turn! They had incredible chemistry and a shared love for all things food. Neither was looking for anything more than a one-night stand, until things changed. ⁣

There’s nothing better than the guy who never settles down suddenly falling fast and hard! It gets me every time when they find their person!⁣

Everytime I start a new series by Marni I get so excited simply because every one of her men are always the filthiest but most incredible book boyfriends

We have entered our Weston Group Era & we are LOVING IT.
Hart Weston is by far the cockiest, most arrogant of Marni’s men & that is saying something considering Declan Shaw but here we are. This man is intense. In all the absolutely best ways.
The first time Hart meets Sadie there is this instant connection that you know is going to be impossible to ignore. They ā€œclickā€ with each other so well & everything about them just makes you *sigh*
The relationship they begin flows so beautifully & give all the stomach flutters.

I loved all of the small introductions we got with the rest of the Weston siblings & the dynamic they all have with each other. I am especially intrigued by Eden’s backstory whatever that winds up being because it 100% already has me scratching my head trying to figure it out.
