I’m honestly flabbergasted but in the best way possible. I really thought I had it this time but Alice Feeney is brilliant as ever and shocked us with a surprise ending. What a story !

I really enjoyed this one! It kept me on the edge of my seat and had me scared for the main characters while still questioning everyone and everything. Twists and turns for sure!

Before I start off with the review proper let me just issue a warning; this book contains animal abuse and rape. I think I can say that without it being a spoiler but in any case I think it's important that people know that because not knowing can trigger some people.

I don't think I've ever read anything before by this writer but I have seen other books with comparisons to her on their covers. Usually the type of books that say, "has a twist you won't see coming." I guess I should have known I wouldn't really like the book because I usually do see it coming and then I'm annoyed with the book. This one I saw the twist coming but I think the majority of people probably wouldn't so I guess that's on me rather than the book.

I found the characters either flat or cartoonish in their evil and not really much in between. I didn't relate to any of them, the closest was the younger female detective, and I found some of the scenarios unlikely in the extreme.

It was readable, it was fairly mindless and I can see why people would like it but it wasn't for me.

Twisty, gruesome thriller. I thought I had it figured out several times and actually had the right person once then changed my mind. I was surprised by the ending. Love that it was all explained in the last chapter. I enjoyed this book. Easy to follow. Characters I felt bad for and others I loved to hate.

I didn’t love this one. It took me forever to get into it and I was almost halfway through before the plot picked up. Also, super unrealistic. Sorry, this one wasn’t for me.

If you like serial murder investigations with twists, turns, surprises, and a who-dunnit vibe… this one is pretty dang good. For the record, I called it early on, then changed my mind 100 times.
There are a couple graphic sexual abuse scenes- but overall, I appreciated the minimal language and not-too-gruesome murderous details.

His & Hers was a really compelling thriller that kept me on my toes until the end. After seeing multiple Alice Feeney recommendations, I decided to give one a shot. The writing is propulsive and smart and I didn't want to press pause on the story. I also didn't correctly guess who the murderer was and that always leaves me impressed!

This story revolves around Anna, a broadcast journalist, Jack, a detective, and the murderer. I loved the way it flipped back and forth between these three points of view. It kept me guessing about who I could trust and what exactly was going on in this story. This story was fast paced but also had great character depth. It also had a creepy in-the-woods setting for much of the book that really set the stage for an atmospheric read.

I highly recommend this book, especially on audio. The murderer's point of view is done with a voice modifier and it made for a really interesting dynamic. I'll definitely be checking out more of Alice Feeney's work.
