I just needed a break as it felt a bit heavy for me at this current time, however I do intend to come back to it as I believe it holds great resources and guidance. Instead I’m focusing on her judgement detox course, which energetically feels a lot better for me at the time being.

It was okay until there was a lot of “dwell on your trauma” “revisit where it happened maybe” “you have to dig deeper into it to overcome”. And I’m sorry I don’t agree with that at all. It’s okay to get uncomfy but it’s not okay to retraumatize.

This book prompted me to return to therapy and try EMDR.

This is probably in the top 3 personal development books I’ve ever read. BUT, this is not a quick read or something you read once and shelf.

I’m going to put it down for a bit and then reread it.

The content in this book is HEAVY and you have to be really ready to read it.

This book has truly changed my life. After the first few chapters, I brought it with me to my therapy session to discuss my triggers. In therapy that day I had a major breath through. The prompts have literally helped me to see hope for a better future.

I would not have read this if it wasn’t the book club selection for this month… I did not find it very ground breaking, but was an easy read about trauma therapies.
