And I continue on!

I found this one much more interesting and fun than book 2, but still nothing beats book 1.

This one comes with some unexpected twists, only expected by the amount of pages left when you reach them.

I enjoyed this one a lot & am already on to the next!

Too many twists and Amelia is way out of character her. Too many improbabilities.

I started reading this series because the main character was a quadriplegic. The amount of detail and realism fascinated me, the cases were secondary.

Not the case for The Empty Chair. Every paragraph of this book dragged me forward, making it near impossible to stop reading. And just when I thought I had a handle on how things were going, the plot would make a u-turn and leave me completely flabbergasted. This is easily the best book in the series (so far at least, but I can’t imagine topping this).

I can’t wait to crack open book #4.

”But like hunters everywhere – mobile or not – once Lincoln Rhyme had made the decision to pursue his prey nothing else matted.”

Excellent! As I've come to expect of Deaver this was fast paced and thrilling. Unexpected twists and turns I just couldn't predict.
I like the way Lincoln and Amelia’s relationship is changing as the books progress.

Though very entertaining, as usual, the third book in the Lincoln Rhyme series is sort of far-fetched. At several points it got comically dramatic (yes, there is a scene where a character bursts into a courtroom right before a damning verdict is read) and the villains were petty darn cartoony and unbelievably numerous, and my darling Amelia was acting so irrational, I'm surprised she wasn't discharged at least fifteen times. Lincoln is a "fish out of water" in this one, and I have to agree that he just doesn't seem like the brilliant criminologist that he was back in New York.

And am I the only one who had to do a double-take on that Thom and AIDS comment? <___<
