Ki, you have done it AGAIN!
This book was the perfect amount of sweet for me. I found myself smiling like an idiot at my kindle on multiple occasions because I was just so in love with these characters. I will ship DasiyElio forever.
“You lean on me, I lean on you?”
“Maybe it was the start of a ripple effect, a cascade of events that all led me back to you. Right where I belong.”
Are you joking!? Those are only two of the many quotes that had me swooning.
I also really loved seeing a male character as a SW as well as reading about his mental struggles with it. The disconnect and loneliness are real and hard feelings to navigate as a SW and I loved that small bit of representation that was in there as well.
Thank you to Ki and Good Girls PR for the ARC

First of all, HUGE thank you to Ki for sending me an Arc! I criiiiiiiied.
Second of all, this book was so thoughtful and well written especially when dealing with topics like sex work and sexual exploration. If you’re going to write anything like this PLEASE take notes!!!!!!
I had a hunch that Elio’s story was going to be my favorite in the series…that hunch was correct and then some. UGH I love Elio so so much.
We’ve seen Elio in Spring Tide and Fault Line but reading his POV was heartbreaking and refreshing all at once. He’s broken and beautiful but trying to build his life one step at a time. He’s trying his best while still feeling a little lost and lonely…enter Daisy.
Our sweet wildflower Daisy. She’s sunshine — optimistic, warm, and caring. Daisy transferred to Coastal U so she can get back to what she loves (surfing). She’s dealing with her own struggles and heartaches but lets herself feel all of her emotions.
Elio and Daisy come into each others lives at the perfect time. Their connection and full acceptance of one another melted my heart throughout the book. They gave the other a freedom to be themselves and love one another as they are.
“Things feel simple between us, easy, like maybe we were meant to meet all along.”
This was by far my favorite book in the Coastal U series and I’m so glad I get to send these characters off with 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tropes:
-college setting romance
-sex worker MMC x inexperienced FMC
-one bed/temporary roommates
-introvert MMC x extrovert FMC
Highly recommend this book and series! You’ll feel seen by the characters and the spice is

Elio and Daisy have my heart, they had such a connection from the moment they meet. I loved the development of their relationship, the way they got to know each other, the way Daisy took care of him during his health issues and how he stood up for her against Logan made this book so enjoyable. The friendships in this book were so well written, I loved the relationship that Gracie and Daisy had, I also loved the relationship that Elio had with his non human companion Bentley. This book was brilliant.
Thank You to Ki for the ARC.

I love this series!! They are so easy to read and so hard to put down! My favourite part is the no third act break up and how likeable the characters are! Definitely the best in the series

I enjoyed the beginning of the book, particularly the introduction of Elio, which was well-crafted and intriguing. However, as the story progressed the plot seemed to lose direction. The connection between Elio and Daisy felt too insta and lacking depth. Many parts of the book felt unnecessary, leading me to skip through pages as the plot didn't seem to offer much beyond Elio's role as a sex worker. Overall, it started strong but ultimately didn't maintain its momentum.
This book probably had the best build up in terms of transitioning from a friendship to a relationship out of all the books in this series. Daisy and Elio are so cute together. The one scene where she helps him record the audio for his job is SPICY. Probably one of the best sex scenes in the whole series, loves it.
I feel like some parts did feel a little rush especially with Elio's past. With his history with Jackson and the reveal that he is Sapphire felt very like quick with a resolution. It didn't feel as big of a plot point as it was made out to be. I could also say the same thing with Daisy and when they went back to her hometown. The drama with Logan and her friends felt lackluster.
Overall I did enjoy the book as a fun read. If I had to pick a favorite couple out of all the series, I think Kaia and Holden are still my favorite with Daisy and Elio being a close second. :)

Thank you to Ki Stephens who gave me the opportunity to read an ARC for an honest review. :)
One morning when Daisy is surfing, she finds Elio sleeping on the beach. They start becoming friends, when a sudden medical condition prompts Daisy to stay with Elio. They soon fall into a comfortable routine and start leaning on each other. As they both work on healing themselves they slowly start to develop feelings for each other. Will their young love withstand Elio’s sexwork and the past that is catching up with them?
First and foremost I want to write a formal ‚Thank you letter‘ to Ki for gracing us with yet another masterpiece. „You lean on me, I lean on you“ „YOU LEAN ON ME, I LEAN ON YOU.“ are you kidding me?? How perfect is this, I love it soooo much. ❤️
Elio is a grumpy sexworker who is trying to find his footing in life, while escaping the ghosts of his past. He finds comfort in taking walks on the beach with his faithful companion, his dog Bentley. I‘ll admit, when Elio first appeared in Spring Tide, I had mixed feelings about him, but Ki managed a 180 turn for Elio in the best possible way. He‘s become such a sweet caring young man and I loved to see his growth. I really loved to see the bond Luca and Elio developed and how he prioritises his family now. I‘m so glad he found someone who loves him for him and doesn‘t care about his past or his work. He deserves the happy ending.
Daisy is a sunshine who wants to find some parts of her old self again while mending a broken heart. She always sees the silver lining in every situation and despite her broken heart she always stays positive. It was good to see Daisy finding herself sexually. I feel like books are usually about how easily men can satisfy women so it was great to see Daisy take time to figure out what she likes (with some seriously encouraging words from Elio ;)).
I was hooked from the very first page. The book had me giggling, swooning, kicking my feet in the air and laughing. May I also add, that (thanks to my ADHD) it‘s very easy for me to guess plot lines and I‘m hardly ever surprised about certain plot twists in books (Verity - super predictable imo), but Ki had me do a double take with that little side story in the book. So hats off for being able to surprise me. I did expect a little more spicy scenes, given that Elio is a sexworker, BUT damn the ones which are in the book are loaded. The few spicy scenes were so hot, I don’t think anyone could have handled more of them.
I‘ve said it before in all my other reviews for Ki‘s books, but she is such a talented writer. Her way with words and how she brings the characters to life is mesmerising. She manages to create characters who feel so real and raw with all their struggles and demons, it‘s as if I personally know every single one of them. I loved to see the ND representation and the honest truth of how paralysing anxiety can be. 5/5 ⭐️
