Hmm, another "not my favorite" in this series. Pacing was not fantastic. The humor felt tired. It's rare that I figure out the villain long before the end of a mystery, as I did here, and that's no fun, especially when the book's characters seem so oblivious.
Plus, this is the last one Ralph Cosham narrated. I will surely read the rest of this series eventually, but I may need to take a break for a bit.

The ending hit me hard and I'll be recovering from it for awhile.
While there's no crime to start us in this book, there's still a lot going with the characters. This is one of the few books in the series that were more of an exploration of the characters and less of a mystery. It still has the charm that Louise Penny manages to incorporate in each of her novels.
