What an thrilling and to this fantasy series! I have found this series, immersive and engaging from the start. The world building, characters, love story were all so much fun to read about, and I loved this little court of rebels. The finale was no different, with high stakes keeping me on my toes throughout. I loved reading Lia and Jace’s story and will miss them.

Title: A Throne of Wings and Embers (The Forbidden Heir, book 3) by Emilia Jae
Genre: Fantasy
Pub Date: September 5, 2024

“Thank you for guiding a foolish, reckless—” “A brave, loyal, and noble queen,” she cut me off. “It has been an honor.” 😭😭😭

🐉 Witches + Wyverns
⚔️ Multiple POV
👑 End of Trilogy
🏰 Humans vs. Fae
❤️‍🔥 Fated Mates
🖤 Deplorable Villains
🧜‍♀️ Siren Song

Thank you so much to the sweet author for the digital review copy ❣️ Books 1 and 2 are available on KU, so if you're looking for a trilogy with enemies to lovers and a badass FMC who's hellbent on vengeance, you should check them out!❣️

I love when the author let's us read the villain's POV. Kellan is absolutely deplorable, but his chapters are my favorites. I loved Avery and Gage (so freaking sweet!) and definitely wouldn't mind more of their love story❣️ I'm so happy Jace and Lia got their HEA, and I love how everything was wrapped up. Such a great trilogy!

Rated R: frequent use of profanity, mild sexual innuendos until ch 23 (🌶🌶🌶: Ch 23, Ch 39, Ch 44)

A Throne of Wings and Embers (Book #3 of The Forbidden Heir Trilogy) was the third book I’d read from author Emilia Jae, and WOW… What an absolutely perfect conclusion to this trilogy. Emilia Jae will forever have the best dedications in a book. I also appreciated the recap in the beginning which is always beyond helpful. I truly loved this trilogy with my whole heart, and this book absolutely captured everything perfectly, between the high stakes, action scenes, emotions, character development, found family and SO much more. One of my many favorite aspects was that we’re given a multi-POV, not only from our side characters, but our villains too. This truly allowed us to get a better insight on their thoughts and actions and overall from their perspective. As much as this has been a bittersweet goodbye, I am so grateful to have been able to read this trilogy as it will forever be one of my favorites. May the court of rebels live on forever.

✨ Wyvern riding rebel Queen
✨ Multi-POV (Villains too!)
✨ Touch her/him and die
✨ Found Family
✨ Sirens/Witches/Mythical creatures

The trilogy is now complete and the very first thing I want to say is how proud I am of Em.

The journey the Forbidden Heir Trilogy has taken me on was so amazing in not even sure how to put it into words properly.

The very best part was watching Emilia grow as an author from the first book (her debut) to the last. I won’t lie I shed a few tears of pride once I finally finished this book. Because WOW 🥲

The way this book was executed was IMMACULATE. The storyline was tied up so well and I was left extremely happy with the trilogy as a whole.

Emotions ran very HIGH reading this and honestly I was not ready to end. The characters had become MY PEOPLE if u get it u get it. I am sad to see them go BUT I also cannot WAIT to see what else em blesses us with.

If you’re a “I only read a series if it’s complete” friend, this is done, it’s amazing and I am recommending it.

ARC REVIEW
♡♡♡♡/5
❦❦/5

i can't believe my luck to have been part of emilia's team since the first book of #theforbiddenheirtrilogy, it has been such a pleasure to read her debut series and i can't believe the journey is over now... i don't know if you guys can tell but i'm getting emotional, so let's go to my thoughts on the book!

i'm never sure as to how i should write these as i don't want to spoil the previous books to anyone reading this post but i will say that seeing lia's happily ever after unfold after every hardship her and her court of rebels have gone through has made me the happiest woman alive.

i really ain't lying if i say there's nothing i would've changed about this conclusion to the series, there's so much that happened but every single piece was well put together even as the worldbuilding, the magic system and the characters got more complex, it was so easy to follow everything that was going down. there wasn't a single page that didn't have me hooked with battle scenes or heart felt emotion/romance or feminine rage, or all of the three together! and there was so much of that found family banter i love to see... the only thing that had me frustrated was how much i wanted to scream at lia for being so reckless and not thinking twice before taking action, but i think our dear shadow mommy veli was the perfect embodiment of that too!

honestly, i couldn't have chosen a better book to get me out of this damned reading slump of mine (hence why this review is coming so late) and i can't wait to get my own copy!

so, what will you find in this book?:

🗡️ badass fmcs
🐺 multiple & villain povs
🐉 wyverns & mythical creatures
🔮 dark witches
🗡️ fated mates
🐺 feminine rage
🐉 found family
🔮 morally grey mcs

✨ complete series available on ku & amazon
