This book is about intercourse with a well endowed dragon-man.

It's also about overcoming trauma and abuse, so it's not just monsterf****ing.

But it's mostly about intercourse with a well endowed dragon-man.

Which is fine. The sexscenes are hot and the worldbuilding is decently intriguing

I was curious! Had to check it out. I'm honestly not sure how to rate this book lol it was just okay to me.

All in all, this was somewhat of a fun time. I loved the consensual nature of the relationship. The dragon was surprisingly really sweet.

This was my first monster romance so perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree, but the plot was lacking for me. I loved the start of the story, I was interested in the world building, but there wasn't much of it. About 50% into the story it became a smut fest - which is fine if you're into that - but there wasn't enough plot to keep my interest. I found myself skimming a lot towards the end.

I was also hoping for a bit more resistance from the FMC. The whole story takes place over 1 month, so it felt very instalove to me. I think if the book was drawn out over a longer time and if there was more push and pull, more build up, I would have liked it a lot more.

By far my biggest problem was the breeding kink. It was just NOT enjoyable for me.

Not sure I would be interested in reading more monster romance after this experience, but I would be willing to give it another shot.

Smutty monster romance - actually felt like it ended a bit too abruptly? Hate that the epilogue was not in the book too, that’s just frustrating.

Lots of smutty stuff including size and breeding kink, dub con, tails, two penises!

This book is wonderful because it is heinous monster smut but it does not take itself seriously at all 😂

I seem to working my way through Katee's backlist and this was a delightful, short, spicy first entry in her series of novellas, Deal with a Demon. I was shocked that a couple were at my public library and snatched them off the shelf in a hurry. We follow Bri, who has had a rough life and marriage, as she agrees to marry a dragon in an alternate realm and stay there for seven years. No more to share without spoilers, but Sol (our dragon hero) is the best kind of cinnamon roll with a little edge I've read in a long time.
