My three year old has memorized this book and reads it to us at night :)
It’s easy to find all different types of sheep-blue, red, wide, thin. In the bath, in the bed. But the green sheep is much more elusive! Fun for teaching opposites for preschoolers-my kids loved finishing the pairs and repeating the “where is the green sheep” phrase. Young toddlers will love this one as well!
We really enjoy all Mem Fox's books, but this is one is a classic.

Where is the green sheep can be seen as a rhetorical question we can all ask ourselves in life. We will all eventually find green sheep but we must last the red sheep, the bath sheep, and the star sheep to get there

I love Mem Fox. This is such a different book for her! 3 yo loved this one and wanted to read it several times. Great predictable text and funny little elements throughout.
My first book of 2021. A great kids classic. Cute illustrations and use of rhyme and repetition. The pictures made it easy to predict what the rhymes were going to be. I have to admit, it felt a bit long winded before finally getting to the end. I have also heard complaints that the green sheep was fast asleep at the end, while there was already another earlier sheep in bed, though strictly speaking, the bed sheep technically wasn't sleeping. This is definitely a book I'll read to my kids one day, because it is fun and jolly!
Great for colours, math skills and identifying describing words. Lots of common sight words too. Eli was mesmerised by this book!
Russell loved this book when he was younger. We had to read it over and over and over and...
