This book saved me this semester. When I was feeling inspiration leave me, opening up to the colorful photos and stories of beautiful, successful women from different backgrounds gave me permission to create and innovate artistically and academically. I bought three copies of this book on November 9th - one for me and two for female colleagues that I love. So glad I made the investment!

Seriously, this book is AMAZING! The 100 interviews with different businesswomen, entrepreneurs and creative makers are diverse, inspiring and super motivational. I love how some slightly different questions are asked of the different participants too. That makes it more interesting and relatable. Also, so many answers are authentic, deep, and so vulnerable. The interviewees become like mentors of a sort. The photos and whole package are absolutely stunning. I took this book out of the library, but now I want to own it so that I can revisit it over and over again. Basically, this book wants me to take over my/the world, learn to fly or something equally as epic!

A very beautifully designed book of interviews with over 100 creative women about what inspires them.

My only criticism is that each profile was too "rote". After a while, so I had to read only in small chunks at a time before reading the same repeated questions every 2-3 pages.

I give Grace Bonney a lot of credit for putting together a diverse group of successful businesswomen who, by most accounts, are invisible (am a little @@ that the vast majority of women profiled inhabit either NY or CA, though). That said, I didn't really learn much or pick up any profound insights here: the Q&A format gets annoyingly repetitive after a while with so many women interviewed; and while it's fine when their answers are unique, I don't know what I'm supposed to take away when the umpteenth person answers that she wanted to be a lawyer when she was a kid.

This would've been much more impactful if deeper dives were done on a handful of these women, instead.

This book is excellent and a must read for (creative) entrepreneurs around the world (especially women). It feels like a great big understanding circle of women who know the struggles of putting your heart out there as one does in creative business.

I really enjoyed reading a few pages of this every morning with my coffee. I was so inspired by their words and the gorgeous portraits that accompany them.

Really love the variety of individuals in here and so many people I wasn't expecting to see (Mary Lambert! Lizzo! Abbi Jacobson!). I do wish it had been more narrative based versus the same Q&A and some of the interviews were way too short. Still worth a read though!
