Had to restart the audiobook numerous times to understand what was going on.

I found the switching back and forth a little challenging, though normally I have no issue with time or narrator changes. I did enjoy the world and will continue reading.

Furyborn was an overall enjoyable book, and generally entertaining, but not a masterpiece by any means. I found that the story tended to have a lot of action and then would drag in between, and the characters (2 alternating perspectives) were very generic. The world building wasn’t great either; I never really fell in love with the world at all.
The prologue held so much promise for the book, but the rest of the book isn’t up to that same standard.
Enjoyable? Yes. Something I’ll want to reread? Probably not.

This was the exact kind of fantasy I was looking for. Rielle and Eliana's alternating chapters held my attention for every moment. Each chapter ended on a cliffhanger and I eagerly wanted to see what happened next. I loved how the two moments in time further enhanced the world-building.

Even though you partially knew of the fates of the characters in Rielle's time, the buildup was strong as I grew attached to these characters and you begin to wonder if the series will develop and allow the tragedy that unfolds to be remedied and for these characters to eventually acquire a happy ending. I will be jumping into book two immediately.

Wonderful epic fantasy! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked up this series but I am so impressed. Wonderful writing, complex characters, intriguing world and a unique concept. Having the book split equally between two seperate characters who are living there lives 1200 years apart was fascinating and so well done.

Loved one characters POV but after finding out what’s to come for the other characters POV, I honestly wanted to skip her chapters. Very enjoyable though
