This has become a favorite for me. I will be suggesting it to all and buying a physical copy of it. I found the story captivating and I leisurely let Jones take me on a fantasy ride through Market Chipping, the castle, Porthaven, Kingsbury and Howls boyhood home in Wales. I traveled through worlds and fell in love with the characters. Jones imagination is a world that is so detached from understanding and so magical you want to be in those worlds, with those people fighting against the Witch of the Waste.

After reading some reviews with the movie attached. I watched the movie as well. I did not enjoy it as much as the book. It is based very loosely on the book. However, it can be enjoyable if you look at it as a separate entity.

Started off strong but the turn the story ended up taking had me bored for most of it. I wish there was more romance but relationship building that we got without it being explicitly romantic was still nice for what it was. The characters are also nice and the ending was very sweet. I haven't seen the movie yet but I've heard it's different where the chacterizations of Sophie and howl are concerned.

Whimsical book to get me out of a rut, I understand the magical-ness of a world. There are a lot of things I’m lowkey confused about that I still have multiple questions about, but I’d rather have that than something that explains things to me. I was really really set within this world and I think I understand fantasy a lot more too.

I'm not sure when or why they fell in love, but this is hardly the first story that leaves me asking that question, and I liked the rest of it
