Amúgy is a jogi helyzetük is eléggé kérdéses.

COME. ON.
I mean, come on, don't you trust her even a little bit ??
Oh oui.

I enjoyed Book Two of the Sookie Stackhouse series much more than Book One. I found myself smiling pretty much throughout the entire book, and especially during the orgy scene. The thought of Eric in pink Lycra makes me laugh.
Naturally, I'm comparing the books with the TV series, and I'm honestly surprised at the differences between the two. I love True Blood and wasn't sure what to think when I started reading the first book. This is mainly because the books are told from Sookie's perspective and there aren't as many story lines running parallel to her relationship with the vampires.
I've also enjoyed learning about Sookie's relationship with Eric, which is much better explained in the books. Eric doesn't seem nearly as evil in the books as he does on the show. Then again, I'm only on Book Two, so things could change. More on that later!
The only thing that I find mildly annoying with the books is that Sookie seems a bit more dependent on the vampires than she does in the series. What's up with the vampires constantly carrying her around? It reminds me a bit of Edward and Bella in the Twilight series.
The Sookie Stackhouse series are a light and entertaining read and they're perfect for vacation or for long distance travel. It's not often that I would choose between a television series and a series of books, but in this case, True Blood wins hands-down.

I really am vibing with all the plot differences in this compared to True Blood. It just feels like there is more oomph to the world building. Like I'm happy we at least got a little more about shapeshifters in this.
Bill & Eric both have some cute moments in this so thats fun. I don't really have a lot of thoughts? I really enjoyed my time with this, I just wish the chapters weren't all so long (Chapter 6 is 50 pages...). But yeah overall pacing is good, I like the character dynamics we see, & the world building is nice.

Book two in the Southern Vampire Mysteries series.
Sookie lands in hot water again when she discovers Lafayette Reynold's dead body stuffed into the back of Detective Andy Bellefleur's car in the parking lot of Merlotte's Bar. As no one in town seems to really care about capturing the cross-dressing cook's killer, Sookie investigates on her own.
Meanwhile, Eric, a vampire leader, orders Bill to take Sookie to Dallas to use her psychic talents to locate a missing vampire. Sookie quickly ends up in over her head with a host of supernatural beings who all seem to be out to get her--not to mention the human fanatics working to drive the vampires to extinction.
Fast-paced mix of fantasy, romance, and mystery. Definitely not classic literature, but Sookie is likeable and the series is entertaining.

good follow up to the first book. storyline was good. kept you entertained and captivated enough for you to want to keep reading. it's not a literary masterpiece but if it works, go with the flow..
I am still so embarrassed to be reading this series. I hate everything about the huge vampire craze that is going on right now. And over all I don't find the writing in this series to be that good. But they are fun little stories and they keep me interested.
This book is a lot more interesting and more engaging than the first of the Sookie Stackhouse novels, [book: Dead Until Dark]. At its worst, it's a raunchy romance novel. At it's best, it tries to comment on minority groups in society. Harris knows how to write a sex scene, but I have trouble relating to her characters on any real level. As far as vampire protagonists go, give me the Cullens or LeStat any day over Bill and Eric. I'm looking forward to catching some episodes of Trueblood, because I think this might be a rare case where the tv show is better than the book(s).
Not my favorite, but still enjoying the vampire goodness . . . mainly Eric ;)
Continuing my Sookie binge, which hasn't really been a binge so much as just a straight forward re-read, I'm still really enjoying the series.
I remember really liking this book the first time round and I certainly enjoyed it the second time round. I loved the introduction of more supernatural creatures (the maenad and more shapeshifters and a glimpse of werewolves) and I'm excited to see that progression. I also liked the introduction of the Fellowship of the Sun because they make for great bad guys (they're totally nuts!!!). I'm really looking forward to that developing as well.
I liked that there were basically two mysteries, although I sort of forgot that Lafayette's murder gets set aside for a lot of the book. I was a little bummed about that, but it's such a good book anyway that I got over it pretty quickly. The ending was really intense and I was on the edge of my seat.
I'm really liking my re-read of the series and I can't wait to start book three now.
