Switch presents a practical framework for making change easier. It uses the metaphor of the Rider (logic), the Elephant (emotion), and the Path (environment) to explain why people often resist change. The writing is clear and uses real-world examples from business, education, and public health. The book includes stories of change driven from leadership and from individuals on the ground, which gives it a balanced perspective.
The book moves at a steady pace, though some sections feel repetitive. Still, the advice remains useful. This is an effective read for anyone trying to create lasting change, whether in personal habits or across a team or organization.

This gave some great practical tips on how to implement change on the personal level. Easy and quick antidotes to us in conversations and in practice.
This book is awesome awesome awesome. It captures the essence of what it takes to create change in any environment - corporate, political, social, personal. I can't recommend this book enough. It's going to stay on my permanent bookshelf as a reference guide as well as a book to read every few months to get re-inspired.
Geared more toward a corporate audience. Written in an engaging style. Uses the metaphor of the Elephant and the Rider (apparently borrowed from [b:The Happiness Hypothesis: Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom|96884|The Happiness Hypothesis Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom|Jonathan Haidt|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348779688s/96884.jpg|3587]) to represent the emotional and thinking parts of the brain. Outlines a very systematic process for identifying the change that needs to happen and figuring out which part of the system to focus on to make the "switch." I listened to the audio version of this book.
