So…this book is CRAZY. As I was reading, I thought that this was a nice departure from my normal genres–I don’t read a lot of thrillers (psychological or otherwise). I honestly didn’t expect too much from the plot. I thought it would just be a very basic twist at the end. But about halfway through I started to suspect that things weren’t going to end up being the way I thought they would be. Was Eric going to end up being the stalker instead of Tessa? What about that weird Mrs. Eric Thorn from Twitter? How does she fit in? What the heck happened to Tessa last summer? Then the ending kind of came out of nowhere, but it also makes sense. At this point, however, I find myself very uncertain about the very end (was it an epilogue?). I didn’t anticipate this being more than one book and I’m very confused as to what is actually happening. Confused in a good way though. The only thing I didn’t particularly care for is the way that Tessa’s mom and boyfriend treated her mental issues. I mean, I don’t know how I would react in their shoes, but they seemed so insensitive! Also, WHAT IS UP WITH TESSA’S PSYCHIATRIST???
This first draft was so intense, and while I really hated Eric, I adored Tessa and really enjoyed the entire story. I kept gasping at so many points, and read it so quickly because I just had to know what the hell was going on and what was going to happen. Definitely going to be buying the paperback copy.
Expected rating: ★★★✰✰
I saw a comment on here that said that it reads too much like a fanfiction piece and... yeah.
All in all, I feel a little sorry for not liking it. I wish I could have, because the idea is appealing and it's easy to feel the author's love for her story (I relate), but it was just too hard to see past the eye-roll-worthy moments.

Tessa is a haunted girl that can't leave her room without getting a panic attack. One of her few outlets to the world is Twitter. A way for her to be socially active without leaving the house. A way for her to share her fangirl love for the sexy singer Eric Thorn. A safe way for her to be inspired and write fanfics about the star she adores.
Eric may have it all: a rock hard body, handsome face, melodious voice and a career that others would kill to have. Yet, none of that matters when he feels like he doesn't fit in his own skin. He has zero privacy to be himself. The music he loves to create has taken second fiddle to the look his company advertises. What he looks like means more to people than the songs that he sings. Everyone wants something from him, but he feels like no one wants him without his fame.
A bitter ploy to slam his own fandom turned into an unexpected connection. Tessa and Eric bond over direct messages on Twitter. They share their fears, hopes, dreams and desires. They manage to find someone that really matters in the vast ambiguous net-sphere. Yet, their fears aren't unwarranted and that prickly dread is real.
Follow Me Back is the first book to totally wack me upside the head in surprise this year. I am floored. I thought I knew exactly what's happening and how it was going to flow. Ha! Nope. You should see the happy grin on my face. I am completely delighted to have read this excellent book, and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
I'm stingy with my rating. I rarely give out five stars. There are parts of the book that I felt were a little rough but the overall piece totally deserves the five star rating. The beginning, meaty middle and end all matter. This book did a great job on pulling me in from the very beginning. I love the police transcriptions. I have to suspend my belief a bit when I read those parts but it's easy enough.
The Twitter messages were okay. That part was a bit overdone in my opinion. The main characters are very well established and I wanted the best for them. Neither of them truly appealed to me, but I couldn't help but root for them to be happy. There were a few moments when I felt like I was drowning in teenage angst-ridden drama but that's exactly what the story is about. They're two eighteen year olds that are straddling the awkward line between being a kid and growing into an adult.
The pacing is a bit uneven because there's a big leap to draw the reader to the end. I don't care. I forgive all the lumps, bumps and annoying bits because the story as a whole is awesome!
Drop whatever plans you have for an evening and dive into this book. Get to know Eric & Tessa, laugh at the cute bits, share a wince for the awkward moments and hold your breath to see what happens at the end. Will you root for them? Will it all be happily ever after?
These characters come across as real people, and the terror of the unknown can have a fearsome hold on what a person can do. The age of technology makes the world accessible at your fingertips. It can bring people together or tear them apart. Which will happen to Tessa and Eric? Read the story to find out.
I can't wait for the next book! =)

As I started reading this book I was thinking to myself like "oh this is going to be one of those cheesy type books" boy was I wrong !
You meet Tessa Hart who has agoraphobia. She doesn't want to leave her house and the only thing that gives her joy is heartthrob celebrity Eric Thorn and her boyfriend Scott. When a username on Twitter @EricThornSucks follow Tessa that is when her world changed.
This book was really good to me. It read like a Lifetime movie. It kept me on edge but I kept thinking "what celebrity is actually going to be talking to a fan expressing their true and deepest thoughts?!"
I had no idea what was going to happen throughout the book. I enjoyed how it was told in various forms like twitter messages, police interviews and Tessa and Eric Thorne point of view. The ending really took a turn for me. I was like WAIT HOLD ON ! I need a epilogue or another chapter from Tessa. Oddly while reading this book I was thinking of Justin Bieber. I guess because of all the fan girls and how people go crazy over him.
I liked how even though this is fiction the author shows what a celebrity may be thinking. How they feel constantly being in the spotlight and getting fawned over. I didn't know a lot about agoraphobia but the way the author described it and Tessa's therapy sessions helped me understand the illness more.
At first I was going to give this book 3.5 stars just cause of the insta-love but then that ending made me bump it up to four. I NEED MORE ANSWERS ! I hope there is a sequel or like an explanation because this book definitely ended on a cliffhanger.

This was suspenseful and it's riding a rollercoaster that you didn't what was in store, but very well worth the wait.
this was so good !!! cute celeb/fan romance (a la this is what happy looks like or geekerella) lots of thrilling/edge of your seat moments, mc has agoraphobia and an ending that demands a sequel NOW.
This was a really quick read and I loved every single bit of it. The ending...so not fair
