for me
This book was pretty good. The Scottish and British slang was a little hard to get used to. I would have definitely liked it more if the slang wasn’t in it but it was a unique touch. The storyline was kind of stereotypical but still interesting. It was the perfect length any longer and it would have been too much. It was close though. I did like it but I wouldn’t read it again. It’s a one and done for me. Overall average and a 3/5

I ADORE these characters so much!
The banter, quirks, friendship.. I want to live in this world!
I love this series of stand-alone books. This was no exception!
Freya and Mac were fun, witty, completely lovable characters that I instantly loved!
Virgin trope and characters aren’t my jam but it totally works in this book.
The body image issues that are explored were a great aspect!
New couple, friends I’m familiar with so it feels like family.
I laughed out loud at points and smirked to myself while reading this.
I definitely recommend it for a sweet, sexy, fun and a bit emotional read!

Type of read: Lunch/Weekend Read.
What made me pick it up: I downloaded 'Blindsided' during the Stuff Your Kindle event.
Overall rating: I love reading complicated stories with extensive worlds and diverse, complex characters, but sometimes, a girl needs something quick, easy, and smutty. I'm not above saying that I enjoy a good smut reading session, so when it came to Stuff Your Kindle Day and the goal is basically to download as many books as I possibly can, 'Blindsided' ended up in my Kindle library. Other than the fact that I hated the FMC - you can have a 30-year-old virgin that isn't a complete and utter twat and doesn't say things like 'the sex' - overall, I enjoyed 'Blindsided.' In terms of content, it's relatively tame and if you can get past Freya being an absolutely retched character that has no redeeming qualities, you too, might finish 'Blindsided.' Very much got 'The Duff' vibes.
Reader's Note: 'Blindsided' includes themes of sex, teaching sex, and friends to lovers romance trope.

Okay so not 1 star, but only because I didn’t finish it so maybe it redeems itself.
I was looking forward to reading this and having a main character I could relate to, but she’s portrayed as ridiculously naive that she doesn’t even know the basics.
The writing is trying so forcefully and exaggeratedly to be extra British. I only got 15% through and had to stop.
