Wow! I am shocked that I am giving another 5 stars and to the same author in a series. This has only happened two other times.

This book was again filled with all the emotions. I could feel what the characters were feeling in a way so visceral it is still with me. It has been over a year since I cried from a book. With this one I was bawling! Chapter 155 tore out my heart and put it back together in a new way just to feel pain all over again in the end.

I cannot express how I love this series. On to the next...

Oh. My. Rollercoaster. Gods.

Finished book 3 and it was again a 2 stars book.
Is the writing stupid? Yes.
Do I know how magic works in this world? No.
Still the work building childish and a mess? Yes
Do I care? No.
Is Grace still as annoying as ever? Yes.
Is Hudson hot af? Yes.
Will I read book 4? Yes.

I read this last year and gave it 3 stars for transparency, and have since removed my review because this book is stolen content. See Lynne Freeman v. Tracy Wolff for more information.

I really enjoyed this book in the series a lot.  But at about 90% in  I thought to myself "Grace give me a fucking break."  Because she was still dead set that they were going to break her in Hudson's bond.

It's so damn obvious that you're in love with each other and that the feelings are real common not because of the bond, so why do you want to break the bond? Breaking the bond was not going to help Jackson as far as his soul was concerned, the only reason why you were breaking the bond originally was so you could get back with Jackson, but you didn't even want to be back with Jackson any more at this point.

Other than that 1 little bit I really enjoyed how the whole book went, and I'm really excited to read the 4th in the series.

Re-read:

At 18% in, all in can think, "Is Grace really this obtuse to believe Hudson wants to break the mating bond because he doesn't want her?" It's blatantly obvious he loves her, and only wants to break the mating bond because she loves Jaxon! He even TELLS HER at 20% that he wants to be mated to her or his best friend as he called her. She's just so willfully stupid, and I can't stand it.

She keeps going on and on about her new unmated relationship with Jaxon and why he's treating her so differently. She's soooo stupid! He's treating you differently because you only know how he's treated being your mate! This is how he treats you, not being your mate! You can't expect what you've always known when it's not the same as it's always been. I forgot how much this book makes he hate her.

At 45% in, Grace goes off on Flint, and all I can think is, "It's about damn time! You go, girl!"

53% in, and I'm back to hating Grace again. 🙄

At 92% in, I started crying because I forgot about this part 😭 and I continue to try for the next several pages because of all the sadness and sacrifice.

It leaves us on a cliffhanger, making me so anxious for book 4!
