Fascinating book that goes over some of the latest science on glucose and gives real-world, simple ways to improve how you feel without going on a “diet.” I have recently been diagnosed as pre-diabetic and I know I need to bring my blood sugars down. I’ve been dealing with extreme fatigue. After doing only a handful of the “hacks,” I’ve been feeling way better with improved energy levels. The hacks I’ve been using: 1 tbsp of vinegar in apple cinnamon tea before breakfast, a green starter before lunch and dinner, eating in order (veggies, then protein and fats, then starches, then fruit), no sweets except as dessert, only eating fruit as whole foods at the end of a meal. I will continue to introduce more hacks as I am able. You can get the hacks from the author’s Instagram @glucosegoddess, but I like to know the science behind it, so I really enjoyed this book.

There was some redundancy with the hacks but overall a great tool especially for those who are new to understanding blood sugar. I love how she made the concepts easy to digest (

This book helped educate me on glucose (and fructose and sucrose) and how to maintain healthy levels of it. The author, Jessie Inchauspe better known as @glucosegoddess, keeps the writing simple and easy to follow, as well as the steps to maintain healthy glucose levels. My takeaways from this book are that it's not just about what we eat but when we eat it, what order we consume it in, and how it's prepared, as well as you don't have to give up everything you love to have a healthy diet, you just need to be conscious of what it does to your body and be moderate with your choices.

Creepy culty/mlm vibe with questinable aproach to science studies and some helpful advices, but nothing revolutionary.

I can see how this can help people to have better eating and exercising habits but it doesn’t eliminated the fact that you need to be on a calorie deficit. Might apply some of the hacks but overall not that helpful specially for someone with PCOS
