Sheeeeesh that was disturbing. Kind of saw the ending coming but was not vindicated when it turned out to be true. Flynn certainly knows how to make your skin crawl!

I’m not sure what I was expecting with this book, but I really devoured it when I was able to do so. I think I may have enjoyed reading this more than I did Gone Girl, but I’m the worst and watched the Gone Girl movie years ago so I knew what happened. But regardless, this is the kind of book I’ve been craving. A chilling debut novel from Gillian Flynn to my understanding.
Not the biggest fan of how it ended- I’m left with many questions- but it was still a good build up. I was fascinated by the way this story molds its monsters with each turning page.

Very engaging dark thriller that I sped through! I have some issues with some of the plot points but for what it is, very good bang for buck. Will be watching the tv adaptation
I'm unconvinced by the ending. Otherwise it was an interesting read. Gone Girl was more original.
